Pamela’s cottage is extremely well located, neat tidy and clean and great value for money. Pamela is very amenable and let us change our booking dates when we caught Covid earlier in the year and couldn’t come. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower powerful. The only downside is the kitchen being on one level and the lounge diner on the other. Pamela makes this very clear though and it was ok for us. Parking outside the door is great but we managed 2 great walks over the weekend without even needing to use the car.

We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience at Blakelow farm. The cottage was immaculate and well maintained with every detail thoughtfully considered. A welcome pack of yummy goods on arrival and beautiful bathroom amenities ready on the bed. Andrew was very helpful and responsive at all times, a great host and would recommend anyone to stay here.

We stayed at Manor Barn for a Christmas weekend away with friends and had an absolutely amazing time! Stephen was a responsive and proactive host, making sure we had everything we needed for our stay, and the check in & check out instructions were easy to follow. The house is exactly as listed, with some additional thoughtful touches for Christmas. The house was warm and cosy, and the outdoor firepit and indoor gas fireplace created a warm & welcoming environment. A beautiful converted barn with lots of space for 6 adults and a toddler. The location is conveniently less than 10 minutes' drive from a supermarket with many walks on your doorstep. The large historic town of Bakewell is also close by, and we were able to visit the monthly Farmer's Market and annual Christmas Tree Festival during our stay. We would highly recommend Manor Barn to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside getaway to a beautiful part of England with lots of historic charm and character!

Period town house, right in the Heart Of Bakewell

This is a perfect place for a group get together. In the heart of Bakewell but also still feels private. Really good kitchen so you can cook breakfast in. The lounge and dining area was perfect size for 10 of us to sit around and have a wholesome night. Pizza place underneath the Airbnb was amazing and the pubs in Bakewell are good traditional pubs

The cottage is beautiful, amazing views from every window and lovely touches throughout - felt really homely with absolutely everything you could possibly need. We used it as a base for a couple of days walking and it was perfectly positioned for that - in an elevated position looking out over Matlock Bath and straight onto numerous trails. Excellent communication from the host and so pleased we chose to stay there.

We had such a lovely stay at Ruth’s place. The little goodies left for us was a really nice touch. The cottage felt very homely and was in a great location. The beds were very comfortable, perfect after all the walking. I would recommend this cottage to others looking to stay in this area.

This fitted our needs perfectly as we wanted a short break not too far from Chatsworth. It was clean, cosy and well-appointed. Although we don’t have dogs (anymore in my case) I could see how easy it would have been to take one there. I would be very happy to visit again, perhaps for an extra night or two next time, or to recommend it to my friends and relatives.

Wow what a beautiful cottage. Really well thought out with loads of special details which all added to the five star feeling. Lovely little touches like the welcome hamper and Christmas decorations made the weekend special. There is absolutely nothing which could be improved at Coates Cottage - except I wished we could have stayed longer !!

Lovely relaxing weekend with friends. Comfortable cottage, felt at home, well equipped. Jane very helpful and responsive of any questions asked. Wood burner was lovely in a comfortable front room. Very handy having a warm boot room to dry clothes and boots. Very kindly left breakfast for us. Will return again as so central for walking, Chatsworth and Hadden Hall

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Upon arrival there was a lovely homemade cake and welcome package. The cottage was well presented, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The local pub served good food and there are several walks locally and a short drive away, so is perfectly positioned for a stay in the peaks!

Rocking Stone Cottage - Idyllic Rural Retreat

A fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. Hidden away in the countryside but within easy reach of several places to visit. It was a true home from home with everything you could need for a relaxing break away. We didn't use the kitchen other than for breakfast and an evening cuppa but it was well equipped and could easily have been used to make a more substantial meal. The lounge area was comfortable and very cosy with the woodburner. Plenty books and leaflets to help you plan your stay. The bedrooms were huge with a comfy bed and a super view from the main bedroom window. Each had their own en suite too. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed by some delicious warm home made brownies! Rachael and Gerry as hosts were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They are only next door if you need them and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back, in the summer next time so we can make more of the surrounding area and its walks.

Great location a short drive from Bakewell. Peaceful and scenic location on a working farm. There are several cottages on site, but we barely heard them. Smooth check-in process and responsive host.

My husband and I had a lovely stay here with our puppy. the campsite was lovely and included everything you would need such as kettle microwave etc, and the dining area is especially helpful too. The area is lovely and there is 2 pubs within a short walking distance both of which are dog friendly and serve great food we particularly enjoyed the gate inn. The area is beautiful and there is lots to see and do we would love to come back again to this site to see some of the places we didn’t get the chance to go, Thankyou Caroline for a lovely break away and for being a welcoming and accommodating host throughout our stay.
