Nicolas place was fantastic ! absolutely beautiful place both inside and out was everything I could have asked for and more and Nicola herself was super helpful and friendly made me feel even more relaxed than I already was and got to admire the hard work she'd put into her place and it shows would definitely go again 😊

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Absolutely lovely lodge in a great location to explore Northumberland. Grandparents staying and a grandchild to amuse for a few days. The pub and site is very friendly. The lodge is very cosy. Has everything you need for a homely stay. Perfectly sited next to the lake. Was visited daily by the swans and geese which the granddaughter loved. The hot tub was amazing to end a busy day visiting tourist spots. Diane the host was easily contactable should we need her, which we didn’t as everything was as stated. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Dianne. Look forward to staying again.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay and our pooch loved it also. It was warm and welcoming with lovely views. The hot tub was a great place to star watch. We hope to visit again

This place is absolutely perfect. The interior decor is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Everything has been well thought out, it was such a pleasure to stay. With a chippy (which I highly recommend), a shop, multiple pubs, and plenty of walking routes (Shap abbey is a MUST) the barn was in the most perfect spot. Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay.

What an absolute find! The photo's really don't do it justice, private, quiet, spotless and high end are the words I'd use to describe this holiday home. Carrell is lovely and has a wealth of local knowledge and also places to visit a little further a field. Stunning beaches locally, with miles of walking for our dogs, who had the best time. Lots of great places to eat, a castle around every corner, great photo opportunities and memories to make. We'd would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending to all my friends that love this part of the world as much as I do.

very nice please , really comfortable in a nice quiet area, has all amenities and is very close to retail park with restaurants etc.. highly recommended

Stayed here as a base for a day trip to Beamish. It was ideally located, very clean, warm and comfortable. Good recommendations for food and information about shops nearby. Melanie was a really attentive host, very reassuring to know she would be available if needed.
