Absolutely loved my stay here! Praveen and his wife and amazing people who helped me feel right at home. The location is very peaceful, away from all the busy streets and a really nice local area. The room and bathroom are very spacious and very clean, the bed is comfortable and with the fan it is kept cool. The kitchen has everything you need and also kept very clean. A lot of areas to chill out, also have very friendly and well behaved pets :) I was asked multiple times during my stay if I wanted my sheets changed and communication was great. It’s also really convenient to be able to use the washing machine here. I felt very comfortable to stay here because of the friendly hosts, I would definitely stay here again! The cleanliness of the house really stiff out to me, it’s clear that the house is loved for, the garden is also kept very clean. Praveen even picked me up from the train station I was also able to stay until 3am for my taxi at no extra charge :) Thank u so much 🙏❤️

So far, in terms of value for money, this has been the best place I've stayed at in Sri Lanka. The room is big and clean. It has a good shower and aircon, a nice veranda, ... The location is great. Only a few minutes away from the beach and restaurants, but still very quiet. And Malith is a great host: friendly, helpful and responsive.

My two weeks at Happy Haven were so nice! Lahiru, Katha and all the staff are so kind and make you feel at home right away. Being connected to Flow Cafe is very convenient and it’s great place to get coffee, food, do some work or meet other guests. Definitely has a nice community vibe. Also in an easily walkable location to the beach, surf and other nice restaurants. I would definitely recommend Happy Haven and hope to make it back again in the future. Thank you!

I felt so peacefull and very safe in Sandali's house. She, her sister and her mother did everything to make me feel comfortable. They gifted me everyday with nice suprises like fruits and cakes. There were lots of tools in the kitchen which was very usefull like juice shaker, bread toaster, 3 different kinds of pan and spices. I really enjoyed cooking at the kitchen. How they designed the house was very tastefull. Spending time at the house made me feel rooted. There is a private garden with a beautifull view that you can feel free and relax. I totally recommend this peacefull and joyfull house experiment🪶🙏🌸🌿

As a solo traveler, I was looking for a peaceful retreat and this was it! Emma was an incredible host and made sure I felt at home. The main shared home has such a chill vibe. The simple and thoughtful interior design in each room, including my guest room, was perfect. I also loved the garden. Highly recommend for fellow solo travelers, surfers, yoga friends, etc.

Sonia's place is superbly located in the relatively quiet seaside resort of Polhena Beach, near Madiha Beach. The view from the loggia is sensational and perfect for hanging out. Through the garden gate you get directly to the sea, the beach is 2 minutes away. The rooms are furnished with a lot of love for detail and yet minimalist. The kitchen is also super equipped, especially the coffee. A place to stay for a long time or to co-work. At least you shouldn't have a problem with dogs.

Roz’s place is complete paradise! The apartment is stylish clean private and spacious, everything you could need with its own terrace! But the grounds, garden, pool and the view of the rice paddies is breathtaking. It is nestled in the jungle, monkeys swing in the trees over the pool. But it is equally luxurious I even received a spa treatment in the private spa. Breakfast is available and I had local egg hoppers made to order, both are able to be added on. Roz has lived there for years so had all the best recs and arranged all of my local tuks and transport. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler. It is so tranquil and peaceful but close enough to the beach and shops or Galle city!! I would 100% recommend and would have loved to stay a lot longer! Thank you again. 🫶🏻
