Suite 3 is a SECOND FLOOR room in the main building. It has a king bed, quaint PRIVATE bathroom with a standing shower, tv, A/C, hair dryer, microwave, coffee pot, mini-fridge, and a cozy private sitting area. All upstairs suites do have a sloped ceiling in at least one part of their rooms. Suite 3 has a sloped ceiling in its small setting area and just above the top of the bed. Full access to the shared indoor kitchen, the outdoor kitchen and grill, the common-use hot tub, and the bonfire pit.

This listing was a peaceful place for me and my bestie to work remotely. Great WiFi and even better views. The food and drinks were AMAZING. Alex introduced herself to me while I was grabbing a beer and gave us recommendations for hikes and restaurants. We will be visiting again. Can’t recommend this place enough.

This was my first time staying in a bed-and-breakfast, and it now has me convinced that I will stay at a bed-and-breakfast again. Our room was very cozy, and we love antiques, and our room was also filled with nice antiques, as well as the entryway upon walking into the bed-and-breakfast. we had to check in early due to a wedding and was flexible with letting us come early so that we could get ready for the wedding.

This was a great location for visiting Portland. The room/bathroom were clean and modern. The heated towel rack was a nice touch. Excellent hair dryer. We found street parking easily both nights. (If you are staying in a Tuesday, note that there is no parking on certain sides of the street between 10AM-2PM but this is well marked) we did not spend much time at the property as we were out exploring. We took a sunset schooner sail followed by a delicious dinner at Luke’s Lobster. We also ate at Otto pizza which was phenomenal. These places were all walkable. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely LOVED staying at the Best Bower! Walking distance to all of out favorite shops, breweries, and restaurants. Cozy and private, a safe neighborhood with street parking, and a stocked convenience store across the street!! We went during a snow emergency and a two night parking ban was put in place, Melanie was extremely communicative about the ban each day and gave us some good resources from the city. We parked in a covered lot throughout the ban for only $3!!! It was the perfect snowy weekend getaway spot :)

The property has great contemporary design moments while keeping the wonderful character of a well maintained historic building. We loved walking around the property & the light breakfast in the morning was delicious and a perfect way to start the day!
