Vacation rentals in Mickleton

Lovely place which suited our family of four perfectly. The house was great - clean and as shown in the pictures. It’s situated in a great location with easy access to the Longsands beach or a short picturesque walk to the villages of Tynemouth and Cullercoats. Also easy to get into Newcastle city centre by driving or taxi (approx. 20 mins). Gavin and Lisa were great hosts - very responsive and providing anything we needed during our stay.

I have been a few times now, me and my dog always enjoy our stay! Lovely cottage in good location!

The pictures - gorgeous as they are - don't do this property justice. The setting is private, tranquil, and everything one could hope for an escape to the Yorkshire countryside. Philippa and Andrew were welcoming and very responsive, and even treated us to a lovely and appreciated baked surprise upon our arrival! The location was convenient for our forays to the Dales, the Moors, and the city of York where we got to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Market. For Bronte fans, the Bronte Parsonage is not far, nor was the town of Grassington where the current "All Creatures Great and Small" series is filmed (the fictitious town of Darrowby). York is about a 40-45 minute drive. The farm next door sells fresh free range eggs, the ton pub is about a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Everything in the house was modern and clean, and the large dining table meant we could entertain guests. I literally cannot think of any way it could have been better. Best of hosts and best of houses!

We enjoyed out stay at Sea View. The location is ideal for a great rest and relax from our usual busy lives. The house is comfortable with ample dining area and lounge. The main bedroom is compact. The kitchen offers ample area to prepare meals. We were pleased with the amenities available. We were grateful for good heat and heated towel rails. The neighbours are very friendly, kind and welcoming. Having the Post office across the road was a very special treat for last minute items. Would love to return.

We booked for a short escape from the pre-Christmas giddiness. A lovely place! Lucy's instructions were clear and precise and the welcome pack was sumptuous! The cottage was spotless and perfectly appointed. Plenty of equipment and so comfortable and cosy, especially in the evening. It was very peaceful, just what we were looking for. Ideally situated for a quick walk into the centre of Kendal and also for a longer ramble along Scout Scar - terrific views! This was an absolutely delightful cottage, and gave us some much-needed peace and quiet ahead of a busy Christmas.
