Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Mendocino County

Our crew of 7 had comfortable and restful stay at River House! The home and surrounding nature of Potter Valley are beautiful, and the hosts are both responsive and kind. I would absolutely book again next time friends and family come to town.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a brief yet delightful two-night getaway at Sea Escape, and it exceeded all our expectations. The home's breathtaking views and comfortable beds provided a perfect retreat, allowing us to wake each morning to the serene sound and sight of the ocean. The house itself was exceptionally comfortable, featuring amenities that are essential for us: a luxurious hot tub and a cozy fireplace. Seamus, our host, demonstrated outstanding communication and hospitality. Shortly after our arrival, he reached out via the house phone to ensure everything was satisfactory, a gesture we greatly appreciated. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Maritime Cafe, only a mile away in Elk. Elk also has a wonderful general store with a great deli, as well as easy parking to get down to the Greenwood Creek State beach. Our stay at Sea Escape was truly memorable, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thank you, Seamus, for a wonderful experience!

We had a great stay! The view is, as you can tell from the pictures and reviews, unparalleled and breathtaking. The space was perfect for our family of four, with more than enough room to space out. There are a number of stairs, balconies, and the steep cliff out back, so you have to keep an eye on children, but we found that easy to do with the open floor plan. The kitchen is equipped for cooking meals at home. We spent several mornings at the private beach just down the road, and it's an easy drive to many hikes and scenic locations. Highly recommend; we will be back.

We had an amazing stay at Denise's Airbnb! It was perfect for our group of 4—might feel a little crowded with more than 6 people. Check-in was a breeze, and the house is located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood tucked away in the trees. We appreciated there was so much firewood available so that we could light a fire each night we were there, and the kitchen is well stocked with coffee, tea, and various spices (plenty of salt and pepper). I also liked that there was a regular coffee maker, plus an electric kettle and a coffee pod machine—every option available! While it's not walkable to any restaurants, we really enjoyed being in such a secluded spot. It was only about 10 minutes to the main area of Gualala and 15 minutes to Point Arena.

We had the most relaxing, rejuvenating and wonderful extended weekend stay at the Sea & River House. It was more charming, delightful and cozy than the pictures show. The views are stunning, majestic, life-affirming...we were content to take in the ocean from the deck and the hot tub - and had to pry ourselves away to go on hikes and enjoy the coast and other areas. That's how gorgeous the unobstructed surrounding coastline is. :-) Home has an eclectic modern meets "farmhouse/rustic" decor which we enjoyed. It's a vacation home for the owners so it has real vibrant character. and soul...which made us feel more at home and relaxed. The host Peter was great and very accommodating! Highly recommend for those wanting panoramic, epic ocean views, proximity to the beautiful Navarro River beach, exploring the rad town of Elk, and an easy drive to the always-fantastic areas of Mendocino town and the phenomenal state parks up and down the coast. We will definitely be back. :-)

We’ve stayed here twice now and love it more and more each time. What a special place! Jon is a great host and I’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful coastal getaway.

The home was very comfortable and we loved that it was located in a fairly quiet area. We were able to relax and enjoy the time we had between meeting family and friends. Plenty of room and amenities. Angelo was very responsive to any questions or concerns and the check out instructions were so very simple. Our trip was focused on the things we came for and we had no reason to concern ourselves with the accommodations. We will certainly reserve this location again for future trips! The only thing I can complain about is the fact it rained the entire time we were there. I didn't think to ask Angelo to help with that. LOL. I'm sure he would have tried his best if I had though. My family and I found the price comparable to some motel stays and the comfort and privacy levels very far above the standard. We look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you so much for making our trip trouble free.

We loved our stay. The master bedroom had an incredible view of the ocean and we loved walking our dog around the property down to the cliffs every morning.

Absolutely incredible view! Comfortable chairs inside and out to get full enjoyment of it. Mary was very friendly, flexible, and responsive to any concerns. We would love to return here in the future.

It is in a beautiful location, and the apartment was relaxing and well-appointed. There is a very peaceful garden/patio area that is available for all the guests. There is more than adequate free parking. There are several great places to eat. Studabakers, across the street, has the best coffee in town. For breakfast, I recommend the Everything Bagel with lox. My husband prefers the breakfast burrito. They also make takeaway sandwiches, which we took to the state park for a walk and picnic by Clear Lake.

Great spot right on the lake! The place is incredibly spacious and well-equipped. Not walkable to much other than the lake, but very convenient to get places by car. The lake view from the deck was lovely. Honestly was a perfect studio that could be a great for a long term stay too.

I needed a place to stay one night in Cloverdale and was happy to find Madrid's place! It sure beats the Super 8 where I stayed last time!! The location is great and the hosts went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable.

The place was picture perfect and cozy. The host made sure to accommodate any special requests the moment they accepted our stay and messaged us before our trip to remind us of important info on how to get inside. Would stay again despite receiving racist and hate crime comments from nearby loiters when we arrived after dark.

I was so comfortable at Linda’s Rosebud Farm! She went way above and beyond, to make sure I had everything I needed. The place has lots of special touches, was cozy and lovely. I was grateful for her place to come home to during a recent move. It felt like a peaceful sanctuary. I enjoyed the view from the deck. I could look out on her cows, her horse and lots of turkeys. Linda herself is a wonderful host and I enjoyed getting to know her!

Brian’s place is perfectly located to coffee shop, restaurants, wineries, hiking (Mount Konocti-Wright summit and Clear Lake state park just a few miles away).
