1st of all…Mormin is an exceptional host. We booked a double room apartment and a studio, the place looks amazing , the pool was on clean , loved everything about our stay here. It war so comfortable, Wish we could stay even longer . We had everything we needed from utensils, to extra blankets, we never ran out of hot water… the beds were comfy, the rooms smelt so fresh … the towels … what an AMAZING weekend we had!!!!!

My 3 dogs and I were very comfortable at Nadine’s house. I felt relaxed and safe and we slept very soundly that night. I experienced car mechanical issues and Nadine recommended names of 3 mechanics to help me out - really appreciated that assist! The Spar was located just a few minutes away so that was also convenient. And Nadine’s kids were friendly and kind to my dogs. Great stay, thanks, again.

This is a very beautiful and peaceful farm and the cottage is pleasant and comfortable. The host is very attentive and welcoming but also gave us our space. We could easily visit nearby Wakkerstroom. We felt away from everything. It was also an experience of off-the-grid sustainable living.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Sunbird Cottage which is very homely in a stunning setting. The farm offered us plenty of opportunity to explore the Wakkerstroom area, and we even enjoyed two walks on the farm itself. The farm fresh milk, eggs and jam were a treat and absolute spoil!

The pictures don’t do this place justice🥹 it literally felt home away from home. It was so beautiful and peaceful plus super clean. The check in process was super easy and Zoe is an amazing host who is literally a text away♥️ I’d definitely recommend her place as it is worth every penny. I’m definitely coming back

This is a lovely, well equipped cottage in the heart of the most delightful little town. Great touches like the most heavenly scented shampoo and conditioner etc. A coffee plunger is always a good measure of thoughfulness for me and it meant I could enjoy the locally roasted and award winning coffee brew while watching the rain. The cottage is close to neighbouring units but feels very private. Bring your own groceries and enjoy the cosy kitchen, or take advantage of the fantastic eateries a short walk away.

Freda is a very friendly and helpful host. The house looks just as described. Very remote, has all it needs, beautiful view, in the middle of the nature. Perfect for some days off the grid. We really enjoyed our stay :)

Enjoyed the tranquil town of Wakkerstroom. The Red Rouster Restaurant dinner was top notch and Christmas lunch at the Hotel was wholesale. The trip to the top of the mountain was enjoyable and the view from there is amazing. Take a picnic basket with. The accommodation was right at the vlei with a large variety of birds. The surroundings were quiet and afternoon walks are relaxing.

A circular stone fire pit is surrounded by curved seating, warmly lit by flickering flames. The rustic shelter features an open space with a view of distant mountains and grassy land beyond the entrance, creating a connection with the natural surroundings.

It’s an amazing place to stay beautiful views in the morning and late afternoon. Any star gazers it’s perfect for watching the stars it’s so clear at night. The people in the area are very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t find the trail for the hike and the path to the river. There wasn’t much to do in activities around the area and everything closed early so make sure to take a laptop with some movies to keep you busy. But overall it was an amazing stay I feel so relaxed afterwords.
