I had a wonderful stay at this lovely home in Arcos de Valdevez with my three dogs. The house is spacious, clean, and incredibly peaceful, with a cozy wood burner that made it even more inviting. Diogo, Andreia, and little Carminho were an absolute delight—so warm and welcoming. The neighborhood is quiet, with friendly neighbors passing by. I even had a few visits from the local dogs, though they were a bit shy and ran off when I tried to say hello! All in all, it was a fantastic stay, and I’m already looking forward to returning in May. See you then!

I can't wait to return and stay longer! The quaint but updated cottage was tranquil and close to trails in the national park. The woodburner can be supplemented with electric radiators to keep the cottage cozy. The beds were comfortable. You may want to bring food supplies with you especially during the non-summer months as we found most restaurants were closed.

Peace and silence are predominant, excellent for walking tours, reading, photographs, etc. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with the very friendly and kind locals allowing us to participate with the children in their tasks with the animals. In short, this space is an excellent choice for those looking for a simple but welcoming environment. The place is very nice and the house in general is good. Need some arrangement and paint some of the walls. Being the bathroom next to the living room and having the sliding door, it does not fit well, so the smells in the drain come to the living room. Very uncomfortable if someone has to use the sofa bed to sleep there. The people who took care of us were very kind. We appreciate the welcome cake.
