House vacation rentals in Megalochori

The number one reason to stay here is that the view is out of this world. It was hard to leave our perch on the front deck to see the rest of the island! Our property manager was very communicative and flexible, and it was easy to stay there and receive good recommendations for other things to do in Santorini. The villa also sleeps a large number of people and is very spacious.

We had the most incredible stay at Christa’s home. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to find this gem! Christa was a wonderful host, the location is just 2 minutes from the centre of everything yet it’s so peaceful, there is a shop and taxi rank at the end of the drive, the apartment was clean and perfect. The animals we felt really made the experience, they would greet us every morning and we loved getting to know their individual personalities. We found it difficult saying goodbye to them all! Christa very kindly arranged the airport transfers for us, sent us recommendations and informed us of a firework event that was happening in Fira. We also watched some beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the garden. Personally we think this is a better option than staying in the centre as some of the hotels are rather overlooked, whereas this offers a peaceful, secluded retreat but at the same time you get to experience beautiful Oia! We 100% recommend staying, it’s a very special place!

Don’t think twice! If it’s available you’re lucky and should book it! The views are breathtaking and the inside is so unique and picture perfect. Yes, during the day there is foot traffic, but you will hear nothing but compliments and it will make you feel like a celebrity. Having the pool is so very nice and relaxing. In the evening the foot traffic is less for more privacy in the pool. You just can’t beat the views and a super host that helped us with transfers and local recommendations. Galini and Volkan are must try restaurants in walking distance. We really enjoyed the breakfast and both! Georgia is an artist and the decorations and painting in the house reflect her talents. We loved everything about this place and would love to return one day.

Staying at this place was a fantastic experience. The host arranged transport from the port for us, assisted with renting an ATV, and provided great recommendations on the best places to visit in Santorini. Communication was excellent, and I highly recommend this residence!

Host was contactable from the beginning. Communication through whats app was really helpful, Eleni sent us many recommendations of activities and restaurants/services which we might like in the area. Fresh breakfast every morning was amazing, they allowed a 2hour window for breakfast which was really handy to organise our daily activities around. Would highly recommend this Airbnb and we will definitely return to this apartment when coming to Santorini again

The Villa is beautiful with lots of space. Very convenient to everything on the island. Host is great and would highly recommend if you’re looking for some privacy!

What a great place to stay in Santorini. We loved our six days. Tony greeted us and gave us lots of information and advice. The outside space is massive with plenty of places to relax and watch the boats go by. Many good restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. We walked around locally for the first part of our stay and only hired a car for just a couple of days at the end to explore a little further afield. Two mini markets (5 mins and 15 mins walking) had all we needed for breakfasts and snacks plus wine, beer and water. The accommodation is perfect for four people and there is lots of shaded seating around the building if you don’t want to get a tan. Note the pool is a small plunge pool. Great for cooling off, but don’t expect to do a workout in it. You can always swim in the sea for that. Add this to your list if you are looking for a relaxing location with great views.

I'm just sad I couldn't stay longer. The place looks exactly as in the pictures, perfect, and to think it was all hand built too! My top highlights are that the hot tub was kept warm 24-7, the linens were all cotton and not synthetic (all I've been getting while traveling through Greece is synthetic linens), there were fresh fruits and water already waiting for us (the kitchen is stocked up), the showers were amazing, but most importantly we were allowed to check in early after a really rough ferry ride from Crete. lol I couldn't give this place a higher rating than five out of five because there's nothing higher, but I would if I could.

rozanna was a lovely host & super responsive, gave us lots of recommendations and was very helpful. the place was very clean as cleaners came everyday. would recommend.

Dragon Group took great care of us and shared a beautiful villa with us for the duration of our stay on Santorini. This location is away from the touristy areas, but an easy walk to the marina and the black sand beach. Understanding that it is more removed, the refrigerator was stocked with milk, juice, yogurt, meat, cheeses, water, wine, and beer when we arrived, plus cereal, break, coffees, teas, etc. The villa was spacious and the patio was expansive!! We loved the soak tub (with our only complaint being that the jets didn't stay on very long, so we had to keep pressing the button). Transport was arranged for us whenever we wanted and many recommendations (with discounts or perks) for restaurants and outings. They were extremely flexible when we requested an extra 1/2 hour both when checking in and checking, then when our plans changed and we needed a driver earlier. Even long after-hours requests were responded to promptly. I definitely recommend!!!

This little gem was amazing! Set up as two separate apartments on 2 floors, the privacy and space was great for 2 single travelers. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after being on our feet all day. The location couldn't be better - The town of Pyrgos is not bustling with non-stop tourists. We were able to take photos with no one in them, and really enjoy the views. We took the bus up to Ois for a day trip and were shocked with how many people were there (many from the cruise lines that let off hoards of folks.) Although it was a great place to visit, we were so happy to get back to our quieter town which has amazing views, good restaurants and is centrally located to visit beaches and other sites. This was a perfect choice for us!

We loved this place. I will start with the negatives, which they arent really. Location can be problematic if you dont have a car, however there is a bus to most places and a lot of tours will collect. At times there was a strong smell of smoke which was hard to locate but we just closed the doors. The apartment was very clean, however the neighbourhood can seem messy as there are issues with rubbish and stray cats, but for me it means you are seeing the real area not the make up version. The people are friendly and helpful here, its a real taste of Santorini. In fact we stayed an additional 4 days as we loved our apartment. Loved the hot tub! Bedding and towles changed often and always well cleaned. Lift to airport and back so handy. Big thanks Jake who drove us. He was also very helpful always carrying our bags when he saw us. Felt like part of the family. Christina was also very helpful in arranging things for us, and the cleaner I dont recall name. We will visit again.

Fantastic spot! Koronios is an amazing host who made sure we always had transportation to where we needed to go. The views from the house are lovely and the plunge pool was so refreshing. The space was everything we needed it to be. Would definitely recommend staying at Amer Villa!

Incredible location just a few minutes walk from the town, with private sunset views that you can't beat.

Fantastic accommodation, short walk around 15-20min from the hustle & bustle of central Fira. Beautiful place to stay we felt very at home. Perfect for a couple or small family. The car parking was a great advantage as we rented a car during our stay. Spotlessly clean, house-keeping was provided daily. Host provided clear instructions with check-in being very simple. Would certainly recommend staying.

We felt very much at home right from the start. This place is well worth its price and I highly recommend it. Sofia has great deal of knowledge on the entire island. Make sure to ask for her recommendations because she was 100% accurate on all of them. Highly recommend sleeping in the terrace at nights.

A little difficult to access but finally with a vehicle it's okay. Very quiet and very good welcome

We had an amazing stay at Christina’s. The view from the main floor deck and the balcony with the hot tub was incredible. I just wanted to sit and enjoy the view. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was hard to leave. Though it was far from Fira and Oia it was worth it to have such a beautiful peaceful place.

The host was awesome and always available at a phone call. The villa is in a great location very close to the centre and 10mins to the airport the view was great too. Would highly recommend

We had a great time in Santorini thanks to the many qualities of our accommodation. Our host always met our expectations and we were totally happy with our stay. We will not hesitate to come back to Odysseas for a new trip to Santorini and would definitely recommend it to our friends.
