Farmstay vacation rentals in Marin County

I had a magic few days at Lori and Mike's. I drive a VW passat and I found the drive up the mountain to be non-challenging and even very fun by the end. The hosts are cool and easy to get along with. A+ doggo. Hot tub was great. Pool was fun. I usually stay in SF when I'm in the Bay Area. This was much more lovely and relaxing, with SF close enough that going in for dinner or a show felt like it wasn't a big deal. 100% would recommend this place. I brought my cat and had my lady friend with me for a night. Everyone loved it.

Cenas house is the perfect place to stay for your Sonoma/Napa get away. They have such a beautiful home and are great at making you feel right at home. The pool area is extremely peaceful and is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and dinner. 11/10 experience and we plan to be reoccurring guests in the future.

Went on a girls trip to Napa and stayed at Arlene’s place. We had an amazing time. The cottage was lovely and just as described. Plenty of outdoor space to take a walk and just chill and enjoy the views. It’s close to restaurants and grocery store. The beds were very comfortable. Arlene was very friendly and responsive. We got to meet their dog Syrah and fell in love with her. She is a very lovey and friendly dog. The hospitality was just amazing and the stay was worth the price.

Beautiful home in a peaceful location. Was great for family trip and easy to go to downtown Sonoma for all our tourist activities. Very clean and nice home.

We had a magical multigenerational stay at Locke's house in Inverness with my husband, three year old and my parents. We visit Pt Reyes regularly and the location is absolutely perfect, quick walk across the road to Chicken Ranch Beach for kids to romp around, a quick drive into Pt Reyes station for dinner, and easy access to all the wonderful Pt Reyes trails. The house itself was cosy, quiet, had amazing views from the deck (and was sunny most of the day which is rare on this side of Tomales bay!) and felt like a real home. We really liked having the separate cottage to provide a bit more privacy and quiet with a young kiddo with us, and we found the kitchen was well equipped for cooking in the evenings. The only very minor challenge we had was trying to heat the cottage and main house evenly as they are on the same heating system, and the nights were chilly during our visit. Definitely staying here again on future trips to Pt Reyes.

If I could give this a six star rating I would. Despite my lack of preparation, Ewa was understanding and helpful. She was quick to respond and very friendly. The stay was super fun and relaxing because of all the thoughtful touches- fresh eggs, little chocolates, a wonderful seating area around the fire pit. The trailer was better provisioned than many of the full (and more expensive) Airbnb units I’ve stayed in. It’s clear Ewa takes true care of the spaces so that they are as comfortable as possible. The area is gorgeous. We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to come back!

Let me start by saying that the next time my wife and I head to wine country, we're hoping to stay in Jeanne's cabin again. For us, it was the perfect location. The description in the listing is completely accurate, but it's hard to really appreciate how nice the place is without seeing it for yourself. It was beyond our expectations. Comfortable, quiet, peaceful and just really beautiful. Jeanne is a terrific host. Responsive, helpful, sensitive to the needs of her guests and a pleasure to talk to. We walked to the cafe that is essentially next door every morning for coffee and something for breakfast before heading out for the day. If our plans were in downtown Sonoma, we took advantage of the fact that it is an easy walk from the cabin. The location was also great for excursions further out to Napa and the surrounding area. Best of all, was returning to such a great place at the end of the day where you could just relax. It was awesome. Thanks, Jeanne!

The home was perfect for our friend group of 7 people. We enjoyed the pool greatly during the October heatwave. We enjoyed the kitchen as we made a few meals at the house and it had everything we needed. Jerry was quick to respond if we had any questions at all although there were rarely any questions since he did such a great job checking us in and showing us around. Would definitely recommend for a family or friend trip. And I would absolutely stay again!

It’s was so cute, clean and tidy. We read that it had been renovated recently and obviously care was taken in selecting finishes and furniture. This was a weekend trip not far from home, and it was so nice to have a quiet, cozy place to return to at night. We will be back.

Ariana's place is perfectly located within the small and secluded village of Dillion Beach. There are ocean views from the living room and the wrapped porch. You can access the beach from a foot path at the end of the road 2 blocks down. There is a parking pad next to the house which is a rare commodity and a wonderful convenience. The house has 2 queen bedrooms upstairs with a separate small bathroom, living/dining and a fabulous kitchen with everything you need. Just off the kitchen and down the stairs is a "bunk room" of sorts. Several beds, TV, washer & dryer and another bathroom. Ariana was a lovely host and we would stay at her cottage again! Tip: Be sure to bring all food and beverage supplies you want for your stay, there is only 1 general store and restaurant in the village. Stop by the Busy Bee farm stand for fruit, vegetables and flowers! Look for a book with Ariana's name on it, she is an author and has lived an amazing life.

Our Easter siblings trip with the kids was a huge success, and this Airbnb was a big part of why! The house itself is strikingly clean and boasts a beautiful, modern design. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for everyone, and the kids absolutely loved seeing the animals around the farm. Plus, the property has tons of outdoor space, which was such a welcome change for the kids – they had so much room to run around and play! And let's not forget the beautiful views surrounding the property; it was so peaceful and scenic. Carly and Mary were wonderful hosts – so kind and responsive. We had such a great time and are already hoping to plan a return visit in the future!

If you were looking for heaven on earth, Melissa’s place is pretty darn close. Just driving in lowers your blood pressure. She’s nestled in one of the most beautiful valleys I’ve ever seen right next to Clover dairy. we got in just as the sun was going down and it was a magical day. She gave us special instructions to help access a beautiful hike up behind the house that gave us the most incredible views of the local reservoir and all the way to the inlet on the Pacific Ocean. For anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, a comfy bed, and a sense of the depth of simplicity of how life could be, this is it.

We had a wonderful time during our weekend stay in Muir Beach. The views were spectacular at the house and at the outlook. We had two infants staying and they loved the play area. Gregory was extremely helpful with providing clear check in/check out instructions and recommendations for the area. He was also prompt in answering any questions we had.

Julie is an excellent host! We had a fantastic time at the cottage and casita. The pictures and description matched the Airbnb posting and we couldn’t have been more pleased about the picturesque vineyard surroundings. Julie also added the best tiny details like robes in every room, shampoo and conditioner, and additional home supplies. Her guidebook to the surrounding area was also an excellent touch. I would definitely recommend this home for your next getaway!

What a great vacation getaway spot! Peaceful, quiet but also with driving distance of restaurants, etc. my wife and I spent a week up at this place and loved it

An absolutely wonderful spot!! The backyard is just as breathtaking and serene in person as it was in the photos. The beds were also insanely comfortable to sleep in! Each person in our group commented on how comfortable the sleeping arrangements were. Definitely recommend this spot for when you’re in wine country!

The schoolhouse is an amazing, deep dive into West Marin vintage charm and good vibes. We chilled out, listened to records, cooked local seafood and had a jolly good time. We also rented the studio so we could have more space and privacy within our group. The kids and dog were happy too. Highly recommended this top notch old school airbnb. Stephen was a great host. I'm already dreaming of returning.

Our stay here was delightful. The apartment was newly renovated, very clean, private and comfortable. It has everything we needed, making it a perfect home base for our trip. Its location is unbeatable—just a 10 minutes drive from downtown Sonoma and Viansa Winery where we visited as well as a short distance to Napa downtown. It offers easy access to everything we wanted to explore. The host is friendly and responsive! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in the country. It was convenient to get to wine tasting and to parks and hiking. The only thing we didn’t like was that we could hear truck traffic from the highway but it was minor (didn’t keep us awake but noticeable). It’s a beautiful place. We loved the sheep and how green it was this time of year. The cheese was delicious!

Super lovely hosts and a great communicator! Melanie who checked us in was great with recommendations and showing the property. Very flexible with the check-in which we greatly appreciated as we were there for a wedding and had many activities to attend. We enjoyed the home but unfortunately do to the wedding festivities we didn't get much time to enjoy the property. We would go back again just for the relaxation of the area.
