Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Marathon County

We enjoyed staying at the farm. It was nice and private. Plenty of room for all of us. The extra heater came in handy with negative wind factor temperatures. It was also great to have the basic needs (toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, dish and laundry pods) provided. These were greatly appreciated. There was also a huge tin of coffee which we enjoyed immensely. We did drive quite a bit to be able to do things; however, we were able to fit a lot of activities into our time there. We went to Green Bay, Wausau, and Wisconsin Dells. The only thing that would have made it better would have been more snow, but we all know that is never guaranteed. Senica also contacted us when my son-in-law left a suitcase behind (I think someone dumped our towels on top of it and we didn't see it before we left) and is graciously taking his time to send it back to him.

We loved this home. It was the perfect place for our first weekend away with our baby. The home was clean and well stocked with everything needed. The property offered a ton of space for our dog to run around and play outside. The location was great, it was a short drive to Knowlton House Distillery, Mosinee Brewing, and Mullins Cheese. It’s also a quick drive to Wausau so we were able to spend a day hiking Rib Mountain and walking around downtown Wausau. We would love to rent this home again!

it was amazing! very clean, cozy and homely atmosphere! the only thing is the heating is very loud, the pipes are very noisy on the ground floor, in the room. but overall, everything was great!

Brian and Joyce are exceptional hosts! The home is adorable and was the perfect fit for our family of 5. We were a 2min drive to Granite Peak for skiing and 10 minutes from downtown Wausau for fun dining and shopping. Whether we were cooking breakfast, snuggled downstairs for a movie, or packing up to hit the slopes, we had every item we needed! Having the garage to store gear and the basement/laundry area available to dry clothing was a game changer for us as well. The beds and linens are cozy and comfortable. Bird watching while sipping coffee was an extra treat. Don’t miss breakfast at Breakfast Bear. Gets drinks and dinner at Nevermore on Third. Browse Janke Book Store. Glass and Grain house was a vibe of its own with local brews and a bakery. We had drinks and dessert before hitting up Sylvan hill for snow tubing. Red Eye Brewing was delicious too!

My friends and I had a great time staying at Nicks place. Downtown was very walkable and it was a perfect location to go to the mountain to ski.

Although some of the kitchen appliances did not work and it was a little cramped, and there were missing spoons, it was very comfy, lots of pillows and blankets, and I loved the soap. Good host overall.

This was a very cozy and clean, one-bedroom upper. There was everything we needed, and more, to make our stay comfortable.

I had a really great time here. I was here for a job assignment for a whole month. Nothing beats coming home to a very clean and beautifully furnished, quiet apartment after a long day at work. The whole place always smelled good. Everything is provided and all you have to bring is your clothes and some groceries. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were free for my whole stay. The WIFI was pretty fast as well. I loved just relaxing in the living room while you hear the ambient sound of the plow trucks passing by from outside. But don't worry, by 8 pm, everything gets quiet and you won't hear anything from outside. Sometimes I thought it was too quiet. The neighbors in the building were super quiet as well. Hopefully next time, I can rent this place again, but next time, I'll bring my family. There are a lot of things you can do around the area. There is a brewery across the street and I was told that it is one, if not, "the best" in town. Heidi was nice enough to leave a binder of all the great things you can do around the area. From restaurants to adventures. Thank you Heidi and hope to stay here again.

This unit was very spacious for four adults (2 couples) and could easily have accommodated another couple! Spacious kitchen, living room and dining space. Nice to have 2 large bathrooms and a spacious laundry room. Jeff was very communicative and easy to work with. Parking was on the street but we never had an issue getting a spot right out front.

Beautiful second floor downtown condo. The location was very walkable to parks, the farmers' market, and downtown restaurants, yet also was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms inside were very spacious and charming.
