Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mara Lake

Rachel and Yolanda are wonderful hosts, and the ranch is truly a gem. For a house this big, they kept it incredibly clean — it’s one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at. The living room is huge, and there are plenty of amenities. The jacuzzi is spacious — big enough for seven people. One of the best things we did was relax in the jacuzzi at night while stargazing. The outdoor firepit is also amazing — we used it on both nights, and it was definitely a highlight. The animals are adorable, and being around them made the whole experience even more relaxing. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway from the busy concrete jungle and want to reconnect with your inner calm, this is the perfect place. The theater room is great too, and the surround sound makes it even better. They also prepared fresh cookies and homemade bread for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended!

Cory and Jen's townhome at Sun Peaks was wonderful. Great communication with the hosts. Location is an easy short walk to both the Morrisey lift for skiing and to the village for dining. It was the perfect spot for our first trip to Sun Peaks. The home was stocked with all the amenities we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful space equipped with everything you need and soaring 20 ft windows overlooking the ski hill. True ski in-ski out! About a 10 min walk into the village but for our family we loved being right across from the toboggan hill and Nordic centre. Super responsive and helpful hosts.

My daughter’s and i really enjoyed this place. It’s right next door to the golf course and only short drive to the public boat launch. We felt very safe and secure at the location and the A/C was nice in the heat. The rustic feel of the cabin just helped enhance our trip to the Okanagan.

We went with friends for a weekend of xc skiing. Also has good skin in/out for downhill. The place was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. Beautiful view of the Silver Queen. We were entertained watching the groomers. It was quiet and well equipped.

This was a great place to stay while visiting Vernon. Heather and Dennis were friendly and very accommodating hosts. The suite was very clean and quiet; the view is spectacular. We really enjoyed the green space in front of the suite, hot tub, and the friendly cat. We definitely plan to visit again!

The Lavender Cabin at Tin Poppy Retreat is gorgeous. The views are amazing both from the cabin and the various lookout points on the walks! You can practically see to Armstrong from the porch. It is conveniently located yet feels like you are all alone. It was the perfect staycation for us. We’ll be coming back often!

The place was situated well - close to town, ski in/ski out right out the back door, quiet neighborhood and easy to find. You're close enough to town to walk the groomed trail in (so you're off the road), the lift access going out and coming home is perfect and the place is as advertised.

Nancy has an absolute gem of an air bnb! The view is spectacular, and the place is quiet and serene. Nancy was really flexible and communicative with my needs, which made the stay even more memorable. Highly recommend!! Thank you!!

We all appreciated feeling like we were truly at a cottage and not a house in the country. We were looking forward to the “little frontier” experience and we were able to enjoy: campfire, eating out at the covered picnic area, using the big griddle station outdoors. Our dog was also very happy to roam the large gated area. It is also close to many outdoor excursions to hike, boat and fish. There’s also a general store less than 10 minutes away with everything you need and don’t forget to bring home one of “Laura’s” pies! Thanks Andrea for your wonderful hospitality!

Cozy chalet with everything you need for a stay at Silver Star. The place was well stocked, clean and felt like home. Tanis was very helpful and responded to my questions almost immediately. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Tanis!

Great place for Sun Peaks Resort skiers, easy ski-in ski-out. Very short drive to the central village for restaurants and shopping. Private hot tub is right there on your balcony. Indoor parking is very nice and heated and steps away from the unit. The ski locker is right outside the unit front door which is very convenient. The kitchen and bar area is spacious and a good central point for hanging out.

Fantastic place to stay for a weekend family getaway or with friends. The place was clean and well kept with lots to do. Will be booking again in the future.

As always Angela's place is perfect. The location is just ideal and the condo building is beautiful. Angela is always so accommodating and her condo has everything you need. Very quiet and relaxing location and building. Hot tub is an absolute bonus.

Terry was very friendly and helpful and responded very quickly. The house was very clean and had all of the necessities available. The beach was right across the street and the pool was another great option to have! Would definitely stay here again.

Everything you want and need in a summer cabin! Well stocked kitchen and relaxing living space. Very close to the beach! Beds are very comfortable. Andrew was great to deal with!
