Had a lovely weekend away with the family in this beautiful modern home with gorgeous outlook. Has everything you need and is well set out, peaceful and relaxing. Great location in Mangawhai. Hosts very thoughtful and responded promptly to our messages, thanks. We were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of red and card on arrival, wishing my husband a happy birthday :) I left something behind and they were quick to let me know and offer to get it back to me. Thanks so much!

a great place to stay with easy beach access via a gate in the back yard. Lively and clean with all the things you need for a weekend away. good to have 2 lounges to give people space as well. we will be back again

Absolute breathtaking view and bird-song. Really comfortable and super charming with clever touches; for example, mirrored glass reflecting the sea where you least expect it; a wonderful round window in the bathroom which gives the illusion of a mirror, a light well in the dining area... Many subtle design details I was observing and I'm sure others will. Kitchen, bathroom, linen all perfect. Matakana Espresso coffee a great and necessary touch. Is an old home, decks could be better, umbrella could be useful, floors could be polished but you soon realise it's just perfect as it is and I don't care less:) Fantastic homey feel with surround views. Would love to return.

Hi Cathy and Mark, thank-you very much for sharing your wonderful home in a peaceful scenery. We had an amazing time coming back to Snells Beach with heaps of nice walks and great food. We discovered brand new lovely fairy houses along the beach. Such a nice setting for the birds building their family nests. We stayed in Emma's place just before we flew out, back to our home country. It was exactly what I needed... a clean space were we good destress after a very hectic week finalising our move. This was what we needed as a family. A place where we felt easy and at home....

Wonderful home with brilliant amenities. While the weather was not great we had plenty to do and lots of wood to stay warm near the fire. Gill was happy to heat the pool out of season if we covered the extra electricity and it really made the stay to have the pool warm. Really appreciated the milk and wine surprise too. Would definitely stay again.

Our group was two adults and six kids - we had a great time and even though it's April, the kids basically lived in the gorgeous pool. The house, garden and undercover outdoor hangout / dining area are stunning - everything from beautiful linen to a fancy coffee machine and more, everything was considered to make our stay really comfy. Thanks for having us Mel, you've got a cracker of a place and we all absolutely loved it :)

We stayed here for a ‘mini moon’ to have a few days of relaxing, and wow - this place was just perfect. The quiet, serene location meant we could fully unwind. The place was so beautiful done with everything you need. We so appreciated the little gift on arrival & all the extra little touches (s’mores ingredients, outdoor fire, beach towels etc) It’s not often we feel like we need to return to a space but we absolutely will be back!

Megan’s home was gorgeous! Even better than the photos look (if that’s possible) everything you needed there so peaceful and the scenery was something else. Megan was responsive and super helpful. Thank you for everything. Hope to come back to stay again in the future.

WOW!!! We wish we stayed longer. HIGHLY recommend if you have a bunch of kiddies or a group of friends to entertain. Beach 2 minutes around the corner, private house with full use of the pool, it lights up and changes colours which the kiddies went ballistic over! Awesome pool house area, parking for 2 cars which was perfect for us, so many things we were happy with, there were no let downs at all. We definitely got the ultimate airbnb experience with this host and we will most definitely be back again for sure!!

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

We had the most amazing time. Kids had great fun on the skateboard ramp, feeding chickens, pool and tramp. While adults chilled. Perfect.

Such a good spot. Private. Beautiful view. So good having the pool and spa! Nice house layout, spacious. Easy quick 10 min drive into town.

We had a fantastic experience at Tim's place. Inside was not only beautiful but also impeccably clean, offering a serene and tranquil environment. It provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and lengthy stay. The room itself was remarkably quiet and dark at night, ensuring a restful sleep. The outside was equally impressive, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, including Tim's delightful organic garden just a short stroll away. Exploring the stunning walking track on the property added to the overall charm. The sauna was a delightful treat that we indulged in nearly every day. Tim's generosity extended to sharing some of his exceptional organic fruits and vegetables, a gesture we greatly appreciated. Additionally, he went the extra mile to source the best and freshest milk we've ever tasted. Overall, our stay at Tim's place was truly remarkable, and we couldn't have asked for a more delightful retreat.

Karen and Colin were excellent hosts. The location is quiet and peaceful but only a couple of minutes from the beach. The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. We would happily stay again if we are in the area.

The views from the deck were incredible, we saw the most amazing orange and pink sunrise and sunsets overlooking the Whangārei harbour nestled amongst native bush with tuī and birdsong. So close to many beautiful beach walks, bays & conveniently close to Whangārei. Lovely clean apartment with everything you need. Thanks again it was such a relaxing weekend away.

A fantastic private and secluded place. Easy to follow instructions to get to the back of a long driveway as well access instructions. A very clean and tidy place with all the amenities described, at our use. Plenty of parking, comfy beds with a wonderful outdoor area for activities. I had a very nice stay at Marjorie’s place. It really did feel like home away from home! Cozy and comfortable but not pretentious. Marjorie is a very discreet yet helpful host. Just right for me 🤗

Chris is a super duper host, v were amazed with her extra warm hospitality, meeting us, introducing us to all her pets, v also get a chance to feed them and she was so kind & generous with all g her amenities, wine, chocolates, coffee, beer & u dont believe it, fresh farm eggs, omg, my husband & I were presently surprised how friendly she was, its like welcoming and old friends or shd i say loved ones, v felt so at home & love. Chris u reserved a 6 Stars..❤️ take care my friend, though v met for d first time, but, v felt like v knw u for ages... 😍
