Small studio cabin nestled in the corner of our family property, located less than 100m from the beach in the lovely relaxed Ruakākā village. Our cabin provides a private get away for 2 guests and dogs are welcome too! The bathroom is outside - a private outdoor shower and toilet, a little bit different to the norm! The cabin features a big bed and a cute private courtyard to sit and enjoy the sun. Please note - there are no cooking facilities but there is coffee/tea, a toaster and bar fridge.

You will love staying here, the apartment has large north facing triple stacker sliding doors that you can leave open to soak in the all day sun! Even in winter you will feel like you are in the middle of summer. You will also enjoy amazing views of the Brynderwyns and fresh fruits from our garden (in season)!

Modern, new, exclusive to welcome our guests. The Guesthouse has a separate spacious bedroom, black luxurious bathroom and a kitchen/lounge area. Dining can be inside however with the most breathtaking views overlooking Mangawhai, you would want to be on the decks. Dishwasher, Air-conditioning and a well stocked kitchen should you wish to stay in. The house is very secluded and private. Mangawhai Luxury is perfect for you to come and relax while taking in all of the sites of magical Mangawhai.

The Shed is a beautiful slice of paradise, set amongst picturesque rolling hills of South Head. Immediately felt relaxed with the beautiful art adorning the walls, views across the native bush covered valley from the wonderful sheltered balcony off the bedroom and living area, and easy to use kitchen made food preparation a breeze.. Ronelle was very friendly, informative and easy going. Will be back :-)

What a lovely location so close to Matakana Village. We had a wonderful stay. Accommodation was extremely well presented. Very cosy. Perfect for a couple. Loved that we could wander over to the village and leave car behind. Food and drink options close by were fantastic. Would choose to stay here again.

We loved our time in Matakana, and in Megan’s cottage. The cottage was cosy and had all the modern amenities and more, and a great outdoor space for our family to enjoy. Excellent rural location, not far from the village, beaches, and shops. Our boys enjoyed playing with Megan’s children, and we are so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. Highly recommended host, we would love to return to the cottage if/when we return to the area in future.
