There is a city boat launch across the street. Bike path a few blocks away which runs from Covington to Slidell. The home has an incredible porch where a nice breeze blows from the lake. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space and the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The outdoor space is great for a variety of activities such as barbecuing, campfires, and crawfish boils. The house has boat access to a waterway that leads to the tchefuncte river, which is great for watersports. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).

Circa 1895 House In Thriving Historic District!

I know it's a bit overzealous to give 5 stars for all categories without seeming disingenuous, but we simply had a lovely time at Thomas & Kevin's home. It was cozy and comfortable with pleasant outdoor porches (front & back) to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Easy parking and the neighborhood was peaceful. Travel to and from all the excellent restaurants, landmarks, and shopping was about 10-20 min away and easy to navigate. (But be careful of the potholes and expensive public parking -- rivals my hometown of Chicago!) We also liked the fact that it wasn't a corporately owned location, allowing us to have more of an authentic stay that show-cased the quintessential Southern Hospitality. Thomas & Kevin were super cool -- always responsive and helpful. Overall, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here if you get a chance!

Myrtle cottage is everything we expected and more, but the true gem is Bobbie herself. She has a beautifully appointed house, meticulously clean and she has thought of everything to make you feel welcome. We frequently visit the North Shore and this is by far and away the top choice of all the places we have stayed. She takes Southern hospitality to a new level! We enjoyed the wildlife, beautiful surroundings and peaceful property. There are plenty of places to explore and visit within 20-30 minutes, and the restaurants in the area will not disappoint. We look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven and visiting Bobbie our resident Southern angel.

Book Jami's place for my entire family (6 total) to stay at. Not only was there enough room for everyone, but it was very comfortable and cosy. Not only could we get to NOLA quickly and easily. but we were able to enjoy just being together at the house. Plenty of room for the family to be together, but enough space for privacy when needed.

We had fun, everything was well described! There was nothing wrong, the location was quiet and peaceful. We did get a complaint about our noise level before 10 but we managed to meet everybody’s expectations! I would book this place again! Issac was also very helpful!

A perfect spot! An authentic NO “shotgun house” with original details and modern comforts. The neighborhood is hip and happening with great restaurants and cultural events/live music. The riverside park is only steps away and is a real gem. Dan and Jon are super friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We’ll be back for sure!

We had a lovely time staying at this condo during a weekend trip to New Orleans. This airbnb is located across the river and was easily accessible by ferry to get to the city. It is a bit of a farther rideshare to get there fyi, about 20 min to French Quarter. It felt very safe and quiet in the neighborhood, and we enjoyed going to a couple of local spots such as Congregation Coffee and Barracuda Tacos nearby. There is a walking/jogging trail along the river that is nice to enjoy the views and spend time outdoors. The actual condo was very comfortable, accurate to its description. Comfortable for 2 people. Very clean and amenities were included which was helpful as well. We would definitely recommend staying at Bea's!
