Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Malmesbury

Bradford-on-Avon is a lovely town to stay in and to explore, and is also a great location to stay to access Bath. This house is so close to the British Rail station that we were able to use the train as a 10 minute shuffle service and avoid the hassle of Bath traffic and car parking.

Brett’s house was exactly what we (a family of 4 travelling from far overseas) needed for a home-from-home. Warm and cosy, and with a fully-equipped kitchen and plenty of bathrooms, it was a shame to move on. Our teenage boys found plenty to do, from the piano to puzzles and games to an amazingly-stocked and diverse library of books. The location was ideally-suited for us, easy to walk into town, but equally easy to get out to the motorway and beyond within a few minutes. As host, Brett was responsive, yet respectfully distant. Everything was set for us to arrive easily following unplanned travel delays. We would definitely stay again.

If you have been lucky enough to find this place in your search, stop looking and book immediately! This was the perfect place for a wedding anniversary/friends’s reunion with couples and kids. The house is beautiful, beds are so comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with absolutely everything you never knew you needed, board games and loads of other thoughtful touches. Our hosts were super accommodating and responsive. We didn’t want to leave! There are lots of nice pubs nearby and Westonbirt arboretum is nearby but honestly we were happiest just chatting and having a glass of wine in the kitchen by the aga. Thank you for having us!

A lovely place for a visit to Painswick

This beautiful house has great character and relaxed charm. It’s the perfect base to explore the village and the surrounding countryside. It was perfect for our extended grown up family and a dog. There was plenty of space inside and out. Rebecca was the perfect host and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this house again.

I’ve lost count now the number of times I’ve stayed here and I think that just about says it all! Julia is a lovely, friendly, helpful host and has a beautiful, clean and cosy home. I cannot fault it - I love it! Thank you once again, Julia xx

Lovely house with plenty of space for the 6 of us that stayed, dog friendly so outside space was great too. There was a dog / recreational space near by for a longer walk. We visited the pub ( as Rubi recommended) really close to the house so that was easy ! The food was fantastic. Thank you so much ☺️

We had an incredible stay. Ann really made us feel at home, and the house is amazing. Lots of space for a group of 7 adults and 1 toddler. The hot tub and pool really made our weekend extra special.

We stayed over the weekend to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday with friends and family, and had a lovely time. The only thing that would have made it better is if we stayed for longer! We bought the cocktail package on Friday night and Laurence provided us each with 4 beautiful cocktails tailored to our requests, along with canapes. Our guests were arriving over the evening and Laurence kept up with making the cocktails for everyone. On Saturday we bought one of the food packages and had beautiful burgers and chips. The food was lovely, and the presentation was stunning. Overall the experience was fantastic. Our welcome basket was a lovely addition as was provided by a local farm shop and even included some cake! The house was beautiful, as were the grounds. Our pups had a great time walking the grounds. We'd love to stay during the summer to experience all of the amenities.

We spent two weeks, around Christmas and New Years Eve, in the lovely, cosy cottage and had a great time! The charming interiour, the Christmas decorations and the log fires made this a perfect Christmas setting. Rachel is a kind and helpful host, contact with her went smooth. We had a marvellous holiday and would love to go back sometime!

We visited last year and were so happy with the stay that we looked for availability for the New Year period. It is a lovely cottage with the advantage of more car parking space than other areas on the estate and in a quieter section. Everything required is present and it was another lovely stay with the family and dogs

Lovely property, met our needs well for a large family get together with young children. Well equipped kitchen, gorgeous views. The site itself had all we needed for a great weekend and we added shooting and archery at Cotswold Range next door which was within walking distance and fab afternoon. The spa on site was lovely and the outdoor pool fresh! The kids loved the indoor pool. The on site restaurant was great for our first night there. All in all fabulous.

We had a lovely short stay at Victoria's house. A very nice welcome pack and Christmas decorations were a special touch for this time of year. The outdoor heated pool was a wonderful treat and the spa pool was appreciated too. We look forward to coming back in the summer so we can make the most of the peaceful lake setting. Victoria is a brilliant host with a very professional team.

We stayed at the Riverhouse for a lovely birthday weekend. The cottage is lovely, and located in a very discreet hamlet. Placed 20 minutes walk from the village of Freshford, and from Iford Manor, there is plenty of walks available. You can get a short train into Bath from Freshford Station as well - so ideally located for a day trip. I must state though, that after sunset, the area is pitch black - but Penny provided torches in the cottage, and did mention this ahead of booking. A fun adventure for myself and partner who normally live in the city. Penny provided all the necessary things, teabags, milk, coffee. The cottage also has a dish washer and washing machine - very handy after some walks. My only note to potential bookers is check ahead about the hot tubs availability. There are two cottages, and the first booker gets first dibs on the hot tub. Totally fair, and again, discussed ahead of booking with Penny - so not a disappointment at all for us.

Cottage is lovely and cosy and appreciated the welcome pack. The cottage is in the centre of Stow on the Wold so really good location for shops/restaurants. There is a big field more or less across the road that is dog friendly so that was really handy and also had gorgeous views. A weekend wasnt enough for explori ng the area so will definately be back.

We had a lovely stay, it’s our second time at this property! And is ideal for what we were looking for! The place is very peaceful and welcoming! The private garden area is ideal for those travelling with dogs. Lovely walks close by and the home is very cosy for relaxing. The bed is super comfortable so had a great nights sleep. We would definitely return for another trip.

What a wonderful two days away in a tucked away gem right near the Forest of Dean. The accommodation is very homely and well equipped and super cosy. If your a light sleeper like me be warned it is right on a main road so there is some traffic noise and vibration from the lorries but my other half argues he didn't hear a thing! We arrived when it was dark so when the morning light appeared and we opened the curtains we were taken away by the absolutely beautiful setting of the grounds. Tracey and David have done a wonderful job and they are so lovely. Would recommend to anyone looking for a warm and comfortable spot. Took the time to acknowledge our special occasion and left us with the most delicious coffee and fresh bread. In making the effort in those final touches really added to the charm.

Great place to stay for a short getaway - perfect for 4 people, would be less comfortable with more than that. Really nicely furnished, very comfortable, and a great location just 1 minutes walk from the docks, full of lovely cafes and pubs.

Sebastian was very helpful and friendly. The apartment is spacious, with plenty of seating, and the beds are comfortable and a good size, and two bathrooms too! As we were in the area visiting family, we didn’t cook while we were there, but the kitchen is well stocked, including all important tea towels. Easy to access wifi, and a good sized tv, also some board games which was a nice touch. The area is not the prettiest part of Stroud, but there is a really nice park close by, and it is well placed for exploring the area. There’s supermarkets close by too. Because it was dark when we arrived, we managed to drive past the property, but found it ok, and it was a boon to have off road parking.

This was a perfect venue for our family get together. House was clean, warm and had everything we needed. Support and guidance from Steve and Kirstie was clear and extremely useful. This was a stress free visit for us and will be a pleasant, happy memory for us all.
