The host were very warm and welcoming. Every room had the mentioned amenities. We checked-in pretty late, but the host had zero issues with this and didn't bat an eye! Staying here literally felt at home - warm hosts, zero disturbance. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy!

Our stay at Windgate Estate was fantastic. As a group of friends, we found the environment to be incredibly peaceful, with stunning views. The staff, especially Neshan, were exceptionally friendly and supportive throughout our visit. The food was enjoyable, and we would highly recommend this place for group stays.

My stay was absolutely fantastic! The property is nestled in a beautiful hill station, surrounded by stunning views that made my trip unforgettable. The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing excellent local tips that made exploring the area even more enjoyable. Waking up to the serene landscape each morning was a highlight of my trip. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature. Can’t wait to come again.

Rajeev and his wife Sharmini are great hosts. I loved this place, an absolute gem hidden on a small beautiful mountain with a breathtaking view. Mark, the caretaker is the soul of this place. He is a great cook, gives a healing massage and ensures that your stay is comfortable. I think our stay was further enhanced by Mark’s presence. The place itself is very well maintained. It gives the feeling of going back in time away from the grinding city life. You get to eat home cooked food, sit in excellent view of mountains and take short walk. The location is also idle. Within a short distance of Kandy. The other thing we enjoyed was the excellent availability of fruits. Our host Rajeev and his wife Sharmini ensured that we have lots of fruits, took time personally to know about our likes and dislikes and helped in preparing the menu for next 2 days An absolute must stay place if you are in Kandy.

This property is a beautiful home with four large bedrooms and bathrooms and very comfortable common areas. The property manager is incredibly helpful, friendly, generous, and accommodating and he is a wonderful chef. He made us a delicious platter of grilled vegetables and roti in response to our request for a light dinner. For breakfast he made more roti, crepes, toast, omelette, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. All of it was amazing. The house is up a steep hill, but well worth the climb!

If you are looking for a wonderful villa, set in a beautiful location, with facilities to hand, you are looking at the right place. Add to that a charming local host ready to arrange travel, guide activities, and cook tasty Sri Lankan meals and you will have to look hard to find a better holiday destination. Communication from the moment we booked was excellent, we had a beautiful holiday. Very highly recommended. Ged.

The bungalow was excellent—spacious and well-equipped with three bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom, an open living room filled with natural light, and fantastic amenities including a jacuzzi, a carrom board, playing cards, dartboards, a portable speaker, and a good TV perfect for enjoying late-night movies. Additionally, there was an excellent cook Siva who offered a delicious menu with plenty of options to choose from. However, I would kindly recommend the owner consider removing the camera pointed at the jacuzzi, as it feels a bit invasive and may affect guests’ comfort.
