Huge shout out to Anjan and his wife for hosting my wife and I, we stayed for more than a week on the last week of the year. The place was as described and is very spacious, it had all the basic amenities we needed for our stay, the home food was also very good. The surrounding area is very beautiful and full of coffee plantations. Anjan's own coffee plantation is a short walk away and we went there a couple of times to relax and be one with the nature. Chetalli was the change we needed as we wanted to stay away from urban areas and it's a small town around 30 min for Madikeri. I would highly recommend that you have your own vehicle when you stay here. The location is pretty central to other places of interest like Dubare Elephant Camp, various waterfalls etc. One may feel spooky after it got dark in the night but Anjan assured us that it's all fine and it's a very safe area. We ourselves drove around late in the night and spotted a civet! It's a very safe and fun place to be at!

beautiful stay, in case you want to be in the city. the place is situated right in the middle and close to all the touristy places. our intention from the trip was to relax with good authentic Kodava food( please check our Coorgcuisine, which is 5 minutes from the homestay) Monthi aunty is a wonderful host and treated us with the best and utmost sincere hospitality. The rooms are ultra clean and we can ask her for anything and she will help us out. the homestay itself has a beautiful garden and waking up to such beauty is wat one needs on a vacation. She has two dogs of her own, who are caged. we prefer dogs sleeping with us and we found that a bit difficult to digest. but then, it was her home and we couldn't say much. Overall, a good experience.

The property was very aesthetic and well maintained. It was a vintage home with the best caretakers. They were very friendly and available. The room had a balcony facing a garden area. It's very close to the town and plenty of restaurants are nearby. Though it's near to the city, it was a very peaceful and quiet place. Overall, we loved our stay there and would definitely recommend to visit here.

The property was very beautiful & quaint , the host Ms. Payal was extremely friendly and constantly checked-in if incase I needed anything. I had a very pleasant & peaceful stay at her place, if you're visiting Ammathi then you should definitely check this property, it's located right in the centre and I can assure that you'll feel at home.

This was a truly wonderful stay for me. Lakshman and his wife are incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendly - they went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure I had a nice day. A special mention to the local Coorgi food that was prepared for me - so tasty and a great chance to sample local cuisine. Finally, the property itself is lovely - it’s housed on Lakshman’s coffee estate, in peaceful surroundings and near to Nagarhole. There’s also three sweet dogs to play with during your stay - would highly recommend! :)

It was a great experience, amid the amazing coffee plantations. Me and my wife enjoyed it thoroughly, the rooms and washrooms were super clean and well maintained. I appreciate their effort to promote sustainability . Jyostsana and her family were very sweet and were always there for any help needed . Their local sightseeing recommendations were spot on. Special mention to their amazing breakfast spread and obviously their coffee

The place is nestled in the midst of a 25 acre coffee plantation. The owners are warm and gracious hosts who took care of our needs. The food was amazing and is home cooked. There is a lot to explore for hiking, nature lovers within the plantation. Definitely would recommend the place to anyone looking for calm surroundings and a wonderful place to stay at. The room is tastefully done up. Sandeep communicated with us and helped us with finding the right transport from the airport to the place. Sandeep's parents take care of the property and they took great care of us. Highly recommended if you want a peaceful and relaxed holiday!

Rainforest retreat is a beautiful getaway close to Madikeri. The Luna cottage is relatively easier to access than some of the other cottages in the plantation. There's plenty to do in and around the plantation - bird watching, hiking, learning about medicinal plants, etc. The food was excellent and Ravi Anna was very helpful and ensured that we had everything we needed. We would absolutely recommend Rainforest Retreat to anyone looking to spend more time in nature and enjoy organic food and a sustainable way of living.

Right from the start Rishya was super responsive and helpful. The property has a beautiful vintage appeal and a great escape from the grind! Rishya was sweet enough to arrange home meals for us upon my request despite it not being a regular facility for single room occupancy. Washroom hygiene really sparkled for me. Kettle, toiletries thoughtfully arranged, supermart close by, books to slounge and Kaavya, the caretaker is a great cook and helpful with local information, taxi etc. Come here in the right weather to unwind and take in the sights and sounds of this endearing Coffee valley. The Lodge is a superb homestay choice. Loved it....thank you Rishya for everything.
