Scenic & Cozy Cabins on North Fork of Big Lost

The Big Lost Ranch and Guest Cabins are located on the North Fork of the Big Lost River, 18 miles from Sun Valley ID. We have two rustic cabins (3 bedrooms) right on the river as well as a third cabin (The bar) which serves as your indoor cooking/dining area. We are at 7200ft and surrounded by mountains and streams. If you love the outdoors, you have hiking, biking, and fly- fishing right here. I only book one group at the time so you are guaranteed complete privacy to relax and unwind.

Mount Borah is a short distance up the valley for those who want the adventure of climbing the highest mountain in Idaho. The Big Lost river offers some of the best trout fishing in Idaho with the Mackay reservoir right up the road for those who like to fish from boats or from the bank. We are located right on the edge of Mackay so it is a short walk or drive to town.

High Valley Cottage

Majestic mountain views on every side at this quiet cottage. Drive down a long winding lane, to arrive at this peaceful setting in Lost River Valley, home to Idaho’s tallest peaks. It is situated close to Mackay, (approximately 6 miles) and hosts many ATV and hiking trails. Mt Borah trailhead, Idaho’s tallest mountain, is 20 miles up the valley. The reservoir, and rivers are ideal fishing spots. We now have high speed Internet, so this is an excellent place to work remotely.

The Bunkhouse is right on the Lost River just two miles outside of the city of Mackay. Surrounded by mountains, there is an abundance of wildlife on the property, as well as a mile of river front to fish. The large bunkhouse can accomodate families or groups of fishermen, hunters, ATV riders or snowmobilers in the winter months. Lost Rivers B & B Travel Trailer Mackay ID

The trailer is closing for booking after October 6th. If you don't find the dates you want for the trailer look for our studio apartment on AirBnB, it's located on the same property, nestled in the Lost River Valley at the base of Mt. McCaleb, in the heart of ranch land and wilderness, our queen bed trailer sleeps up to 4 people. No small children at this time please due to safety issues.

we had such a fun time here! We just went for a quick overnight r trip, but we would have loved to stay longer. We initially had a hard time finding where to go, but Anne was right there to help. It seems ideal for a family reunion or get together and we'd recommend it for anyone looking to get away in nature!

This little apartment is sparkling clean with a beautiful view of the majestic mountainside that this valley is so well known for! It is the perfectly functional space with everything you need to feel right at home! A note to mention: there is a newly opened establishment across the Main Street this apartment is located on, very easy to walk across to and has a wonderful outdoor area as well as delicious food and exceptional service. This establishment may regularly have bands on the weekends, and the noise from the outdoor bands could be an issue for those who turn in early. It was not a problem for me, as I simply waited it out. Just a note to mention if noise is an issue. Outside of this mention, the town is quiet, and there is virtually no traffic during the night time hours. I would stay here again!
