Cabin vacation rentals in Lynchburg

This was the perfect place for my bachelorette trip! We really enjoyed the coziness of the house and that it was a short drive from a lot of local attractions. Kristen was very responsive and accommodating!

Amazing, quiet, and peaceful little place tucked away in the mountains... just what we needed for a quick getaway! Hot tub was fantastic and was close by to several wineries, distilleries, breweries, and restaurants... might make this somewhere we go back to again! 5 stars!

Wonderful home with a beautiful view, especially from the top deck & the hot tub. We traveled to Shenandoah NP for spring break, and it was an amazing time. Our co-host Charlotte was awesome, very kind, and responded to any question we had in a timely manner. Would love to return during the summer months to visit all the breweries! Highly recommend this home!!

Stayed at the cabin with a girlfriend for a friend creative getaway and it was the best location! The space was gorgeous, warm and inviting. The location is private. We saw lots of wildlife which was a thrill. The hammocks and hot tub were great. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. We’ll definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are absolutely in love with the cabin and the property surrounding it. The pictures don’t do it justice for how lovely everything is. Everything you could want and need. Stayed here twice now and am looking forward to staying many more times!

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging really was wonderful! A perfect, private getaway for relaxing after a long day skiing at the nearby Wintergreen Resort!

Words cannot describe how amazing our stay was! If you’re looking for a peaceful & private retreat with no cell service and a rustic vibe then this is your place!!! The home did have wifi (if you wanted to logon or use wifi calling / texts) and that was a nice perk for my travel buddy. I personally preferred to stay off the grid. Monica was fantastic to communicate with and gave super helpful information before check in; which was nice because it’s a very rural area that I had never been to and to get the info ahead of time definitely helped plan out our trip. Crabtree falls hike was awesome. I’m currently looking at my schedule to plan a time to rebook this place!!!!

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

The cabin was amazing, so cozy and beautiful. The grounds were great lots of trails and nice easy walks. The cabin was stocked with everything you would need and more . I love the fact they had fire wood for us . This place was a 10 out of 10

What a joy to stay at Indigo Woods cabin. I was there for a writing/hiking solo retreat and it was the perfect location. I had privacy and an inspiring environment to write with good access to some amazing hiking trails. The cabin is cozy and had everything I needed. I especially enjoyed the outdoor areas, chairs out front in the morning sun, and the solarium and picnic table in the back when the afternoon sun was there. I only had one question when I first arrived and Kristy responded within minutes to help me. I highly recommend this home! I plan to return.

The cabin was a wonderful place to stay! The view is amazing, and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to meet one of her dogs and see him work the sheep, as well as bottle feed a couple lambs. It made for a lovely little honeymoon. There's also plenty to do nearby. We visited Lexington almost everyday and also did some hiking. We can't wait to return!

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

I had a great stay! Such a cozy, safe feeling in the quaint cabin. I found it extremely relaxing and I was able to decompress. The surrounding were also very peaceful. I had an amazing view of the sunsets every night. All the appliances worked great, including the stove. The check in and out was extremely easy and all of my communication with the host was very friendly and responded to right away. I hope to be back, thank you so much!

I’d argue that this is one of the best places to stay in Wintergreen. The cabin itself is perfect. We are a young family and it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is also perfect. It is very close to all the attractions on the resort. Clay was a great host as well. The perfect amount of communication; engaged without being intrusive. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be sure their trip is easy and successful!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

excellent views, fireplace, and cozy. great for a weekend getaway

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful property! Very private, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed walking the trails with our dog and since we had mostly rain, relaxing in front of the fireplace reading and listening to music. We did venture out to walk the Chessie Trail, see the Natural Bridge, cross the James River on the footbridge, and check out Lexington downtown area. Would love to come back in another season. Thanks for being pet friendly!

It was so peaceful and was just what we needed for a couple days after Christmas. Everything was just as described, and Martha gave me a couple of great recommendations for food and places to hike. We loved seeing the horses and cows every day, and it felt just like home to us. We would definitely book here again!

The care that is put into the details of this place is amazing and so lovingly cared for. Peaceful surroundings and such a perfect chill spot in the meadow with the chairs. Stargazing is wonderful as well.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Mary's place celebrating our adult daughter's bithday. The surrounding area is beautiful! If you enjoy hiking & the outdoors , and need a beautiful place to retreat with quaint places to visit within a half hour drive you will love the location. It is a very nice log cabin. A log cabin is not the "tightest" structure, so there are opportunities for small critters to get in. Mary has done an excellent job of being proactive, but this is a cabin. You may see a stink bug, fly or lady bug... or two.... The beds were comfortable and suited our needs. This is NOT a good cabin for small kids. I would not recommend for anyone under 10. Also, if you have mobility issues, the stairs are steep and the upstairs bathroom has a step-up to enter. The downstairs toilet is a standard round toilet so I would not recommend if you cannot do stairs and need an ADA/tall toilet. For our needs this cabin was wonderful and we throughly enjoyed our stay!
