Three of us had a wonderful wintery stay in early February. The house was great--cozy and comfortable with an incredibly well stocked kitchen and an epic bathtub! We took advantage of the gorgeous private sauna every single day and even had a bonfire one night at dust. The proximity to Lake Superior is another plus--as soon as you step outside the house you can hear the waves from the shore! Deidra was a wonderful host. She provided so many recommendations for the North Shore and even offered an early check in since the house was not occupied the night before our arrival. The snacks, welcome note and local gifts (wine, cider, maple syrup and pancake mix) made us feel welcome and appreciated. We hope to stay again in the summer when we can spend even more time outside enjoying the lake.

Beds were comfortable and neighborhood was nice and quiet. We were unable to take advantage of all the amenities as our stay was short unfortunately. Very historical feel as soon as you walk in. A binder with great information was provided. Our stay was so relaxing I wish we could have stayed longer. Communication with Nadine was easy and clear. The small touches made us feel more welcomed and they were appreciated.

We loved our stay at the North Shore Cottage! We had a group of five and we had plenty of room, a nice kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms. The Cottage is in the center of Two Harbors, which made walking to the shore, parks, and shops very easy. We would definitely stay again.

Kim and Alfie’s place was great, it felt like home! Very clean and cozy, easy to follow directions and they were very generous and incredibly accommodating. I would recommend their place to anyone going skiing, golfing, hiking or just simply visiting the North Shore. My wife and I were already trying to find excuses to come back and stay at Kim and Alfie’s place again. It’s open and bright allowing for larger groups to socialize easily and enjoy time together. Our kids had a blast and the oldest one “didn’t want to leave!” Thank you again for a great stay!

The rental is on a nice large wooded lot on a quiet block toward edge of town yet close enough to walk to the grocery store or even uptown. Kelly and Aria were quick to respond and accommodate questions and requests I had. The house has a lot of character and coziness with the original woodwork and layout. Everything needed for a comfortable quiet stay is provided.
