If you love snowmobiling and are always on the lookout for fresh trails, let me put Hovland, MN, on your radar. I recently spent a weekend there with a few friends, and it was hands down one of the best riding trips I’ve had. Our Airbnb turned out to be the perfect home base, and the snowmobiling in the area? Absolutely top-notch. One thing to note—you’ll need to trailer into either Grand Marais or Grand Portage to hit the trails. While that might sound like an extra step, it’s actually a huge advantage. Both spots serve as prime trailheads, giving you direct access to an extensive network of well-groomed trails. Plus, they offer gas, restaurants, and plenty of parking, making it super convenient. And since Hovland is equidistant from both, it's less than a 20-minute drive in either direction, so you can switch things up depending on the day. Nice place to stay, worked out great for quick weekend snowmobile trip!

Great place very dog friendly, the fenced back yard was so helpful. Super great room, enough seating so our large group could be together. This place is stocked with everything we need, tape, extension cord and big bowls were a nice surprise. Convienent location with a lovely setting and nice view out the back. Plenty of parking too. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location & beautiful property. Kitchen was well stocked with spices, pots & pans, & all the basics you need for cooking. The beds were comfy & the lotion in the bathroom smelled wonderful! We had a wonderful stay.

The location is unbeatable… right on the ski hill with easy access to the lifts! The views are stunning, and the skiing was fantastic. The condo itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. Highly recommend for a perfect skiing getaway!

The Snowdrift Suite is an ideal location for those looking to have easy access to the mountain and be able to access the condo throughout the day. The condo is clean and has a big living space and two well-stocked bathrooms, as well as a kitchen that makes it easy for meals. The walls were a little thin so I would recommend ear plugs for light sleepers. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Had a great weekend for skiing with 8 people. Everything went smoothly and the place was great.

Our stay was very nice and worked great for two families with children. We needed access to laundry, and Peter graciously allowed us access to the laundry room. Sweet welcome gift on the table and great sauna. Wonderful place to stay! We’d come back again.

We loved our holiday skiing stay! We had two families, nine people - 4 adults and 5 young adults. The ski in/ out access was great and there was plenty of space for all of us to hang out in the great room. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we cooked all our meals in! There is only seating for 7 at the table, but we moved a couple counter stools to the table so we could all sit there. We had some issues with the heat in the upstairs bedroom (too hot) but Shayla was responsive and helped us trouble shoot. We would stay here again!

The kitchen was fantastic. Lots of appliances and space for perishabkes. Keirc, Espresso machine and drip coffee makers. The hot tub was well maintained and easy to use. TVs in almost every room. Great private lot on Lake. Would love to come back in the summer. Lisa was super fast in responding to anything but we really didn't need any questions answered during our stay. Will go back again.

We had a wonderful stay. The end unit is great for a beautiful view! The location is amazing to Ski in/Ski out! Very cozy with the fireplace. Love the large deck. Jesse and Dean were very helpful and quick to respond with my questions. Thank you for allowing my furry kids to join us!! It was really fun!!!!

It was a great, cozy place for my family of four (wife and two daughters, ages 14 & 12). Even though the place is not big, having two bathrooms was huge. If anything, the description may have undersold how close it is to the ski hill. Truly just a very short walk through the parking lot, and you're strapping your skis on! The pool is located in the building, too, which is a huge plus as walking outside to get to the pool or hot tub can be a bone-chilling experience. All in all, a great condo, location, and experience for my family's mini ski vacation. We hope to be back!

We've stayed at the Bakery Bungalow three times now and it has been superb each time. JerriAnne provides clear, timely instructions regarding check-in and the house has always been super clean, warm and inviting. We stayed in the house while skiing and it has close access to ski hills, good restaurants, and anything else one might need. It has been a great stay each time and JerriAnne has been a very friendly, communicative, and responsive host.

We had a fantastic stay at The Lookout. What a gorgeous view of Lake Superior. The home is tucked away in a very private neighborhood that was so quiet. We loved waking every morning to beautiful birdsongs and coffee in “the Tower” looking over the lake. We were looking for a great place to decompress for a few days and the Lookout was perfect! The kitchen is well equipped and the place was spotless.

Pete and Tanya were very helpful for our stay. It was supposed to be a snowmobile trip but the weather quickly took a turn. They were very helpful in letting us know the conditions and suggested alternatives.

Amanda was a fantastic host and incredibly flexible with check-in and check-out times, which made a huge difference for our group! Her beautiful home was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Amanda’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home, and we’re already planning to come back this summer. Thank you for making our trip so memorable

When they say this is the most centrally located place on air bnb in Duluth, they ain't lyin'. This place was close to everywhere we wanted to be. The house was spacious, had plenty of charm, the hosts were responsive and helpful.

My family and I had a great time and Amy was very responsive and helpful host. House was clean and as advertised with plenty of room for my kids to spread out. Amenities were plentiful and thoughtful, can't think of anything that would have been missing. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to the area. Thank you, Amy!

Super cute and comfortable home!

Everything was great. The location of this place is what makes it awesome. It is very close to all the sites in Duluth and Canal Park. The views of Lake Superior are also amazing! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We were a group of 8 plus 2 babies and there was enough space. There is one room upstairs that is a bit more spacious and easily fit a pack n play for one baby. The other rooms were a bit of a tight fit for a second pack n play but it worked fine. The living room was big enough and had enough seating for all 8 adults to sit and space for kids to move around and play. Overall, great stay. Thank you!
