We spent one night in the sweet wooden hut and were pleasantly surprised. Everything has been thought of. Warm blankets, heating if it gets cold at night, slippers. Cornelia welcomed us very warmly and was always accommodating. The fondue set in the evening and the breakfast with the most wonderful view was our highlight and we can only recommend it! The scenery is breathtaking. You could come down very well and you can take small walks or hikes. Free parking is available downstairs in the valley station in St. Jakob. The ride on the cable car costs CHF 16 per person round trip. We would repeat exactly the same way!

The hotel is amazing, especially knowing it used to be a prison. It has an incredible location right in the center of Lucerne, so you can walk everywhere. The cleanliness was excellent, and the staff was also very attentive. The only suggestion I would make is about the showers — they’re a bit uncomfortable since everything is visible from the outside, so I think that could be improved. Other than that, I truly recommend it.

If you’re not visiting for the stunning view, you should definitely visit for Susan’s delicious breakfast. The smell of her baking at night fills the house, and the fresh treats in the morning are a true delight. Daniel was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. If you’re interested in astronomy, he’ll happily guide you through the night sky, showing you Jupiter, its moons, Mars, and more through his telescope, an unforgettable experience! The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking and couldn’t be better. There is parking available, though be mindful of the many stairs if you have heavy luggage. The kitchen is shared and fully equipped, and our room featured a large bathtub with hot water, a beautiful view, and a TV. Overall, the place feels like a cozy home, offering all the amenities you might need. It was truly a pleasure meeting Daniel and Susan. We would love to return oneday 🤞

For the price, this family room in the youth hostel was conveniently located 4 minutes walking from Local train station , 1 stop from Zug central with 25 minute connection to Zurich . Basic amenities - just a bed and bathroom and towels / soap . Friendly hostel reception helps with queries.

A great stay at the hostel, nice room and view. Comfy beds! Great lockers and fridge per room in the kitchen, which was well equipped. Online check in system was bugging slightly, and would be more convenient to have additional bathrooms to use, since 7 people sharing one bathroom and shower delays the arrival to the slopes. Thankyou!

very nice rooms, tastefully decorated despite the simplicity. Very nice kitchen area. Skis and shoe in the hallway is something new. No ski boot dryer, yet dry the next day, probably because of underfloor heating. Great APP with an electronic key and lots of tips.

We had an amazing time at Wanderlust Guesthouse. The location is great with a wonderful view of the lake and Alps. The place and the room were exactly like described/the photos. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive. Daniela was there during our stay and she was amazing. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it if you plan to visit Weggis!

Nice establishment in beautiful surroundings and not far from Lucerne by car. Great room, very clean and modern. Self check in allowed us to arrive at a time of our convenience. We only missed some tea and a kettle in the room. We only had a coffee machine provided. A pleasant experience overall

The place is amazing for individuals, families or big groups. It is literally right next to the train station and super convenient to most things in Engelberg. The entire place is extremely clean and the common kitchens and dining areas are more than generous and well-maintained. The instructions are super clear and easy to follow and everything about the place is super convenient. The bathrooms are very clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable.

Bunk Bedroom at Wanderlust Guesthouse

The room was small but very clean with everything we needed (including adapters for the plugs). We booked a paid parking space in advance, useful when arriving late at night. Check-in was easy and electronic thanks to an outside machine for collecting keys and paying for parking and my dog's presence. I had the pleasant surprise of finding a comfortable niche with bowls, adorable attention. Even though the bathroom is shared, we found it modern and clean. To visit Lucerne, staying in this Guesthouse for one night was economical for us. We recommend this listing, perfect for a short stay!

Patrick’s place was exactly as described—a wonderful, quiet retreat on the outskirts of Engelberg. It has a very homey & cozy vibe. Our room was clean, spacious, and easily accessible. The instructions provided were clear, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. Towels were readily available in the room. The only minor point to note is that while a soap bar was provided, there was no liquid soap or shower gel. Overall, I highly recommend this place!
