Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lower Garden District, New Orleans

We really loved the house. Plenty of space, very comfortable and clean, and a truly great location. You can walk to plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops (including Cherry which is less than a block away.) Highly recommend!

Allison's home is in a great neighborhood away from the French Quarter. We were able to walk to a beer garden and breakfast during our stay. It was also within walking distance of Marshall's, CVS, and Rouses Grocery. This turned out to be a necessity when my luggage was lost. We easily took Uber to our destinations. We didn't get a chance to ride the streetcars on this trip, but they were also within walking distance. The house itself was comfortable and exactly as described. The washer/dryer were a lifesaver! We would definitely stay here again.

We had an extended stay and were very comfortable for the duration. The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of beds for a large family and couches in the living room for everyone to sit. The patio fence is well covered by vines which gives more privacy if you choose to use it. We felt safe in and around the house. The house is close to the neighbors but they never bothered us and it was fairly quiet all week. The few we saw were friendly and waved with a quick hello. Host was very responsive when we had questions. We parked in front of the house without any issues and the spot was always available for parking. We walked to Canal to ride the trolleys which are a short 5 minute walk or so from the house. There are several friendly stray cats in the neighborhood. We pet many of them as we walked to and from Canal. We brought our dog who loved being able to walk around the little park a block from the house. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Cynthia's place was conveniently located for our group's purposes. We walked the area to explore Freret Street's many cafes, and even walked to the zoo. We had easy check-in and check-out, and Cynthia was helpful and attentive when we needed assistance with something that came up.

The home was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Loved the vintage charm of this place! The host has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences. It was a perfect place for a our family visit to New Orleans within walking distance of Frenchman St and the French Market Distict.

Absolutely stunning house. Nancy was very responsive and gave us great advice on things to do. The house had everything we could need and I'm definitely investing in some chandeliers after seeing the stunning ones in her house. Hope to be back!

The place is a gem and Ernest is very responsive. Near very good restaurant and Ernest give us very good recommendations. Also the neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. The house is clean and comfortable.

What a great place to stay! The space was cute, comfortable and clean. The location was great for walkable options. I was stuck during the recent snow storm and they were great hosts, giving me additional blankets and allowing me to extend my stay easily when my flight was canceled. The apartment was quiet, the neighborhood felt very safe to walk through. I’d easily stay again especially if you want to be in the garden district/uptown

Great location in the Garden District! The host’s passion for New Orleans is reflected throughout the apartment and had everything we needed for our weekend in the city, including a welcome binder with a wealth of information from local recommendations to a history of the neighborhood we were staying in.

The home was a great place for me and my kids to spend a few days while visiting family. I really liked that we could just walk to breakfast, a playground, and tacos. The house was fully decorated in great NOLA folk art that really made the experience special. There were a few issues I made the host aware of, but they were very responsive. Overall, I would stay here again for sure!

Our family stayed at the apartment for Thanksgiving. It was large enough to give everyone their own space and we loved the location. Walkable to French Quarter (or short uber ride) but very quiet. Super close to WW2 Museum. Secure, enclosed parking garage was in the back and easy to access.

The Natchez was a wonderful place to stay, it was perfect for our group. It was very close to the French Quarters and walkable. They were very proactive in communicating with me prior to our arrival to let me know that the central heat wasn’t working. They tried to fix the issue before our arrival but it required a new part. They apologized and even gave me a discount, which was unexpected but very much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

This was my 4th stay in New Orleans and my first time staying on this side of Canal street. We were in walking distance of everything and the location was perfect. There is a market right underneath, The Little Bar right under as well. We also got a pedicure at Eva Salon downstairs from the apartment. Love this place and would definitely recommend!

Wonderful clean apartment, EXTREMELY well-located for everything in the Lower Garden District and a quick trolley ride to other hoods like the Warehouse District and the Irish Channel. Fantastic cafés and restaurants and cute little shops nearby on Magazine Street. Washer/dryer in the apartment was soooo helpful. Hosts were very responsive whenever we had questions. Hope to stay here again on a return trip to NOLA!

Brad was a great host! He was extremely responsive. The location of the Airbnb was also extremely convenient and walkable to all main attractions (within 15 mins). Really close to some great restaurants and bars! Relatively quiet area but close and far enough to the hustle and bustle of bourbon street. Would recommend!

Really great location, a couple of blocks from the French Quarter and is basically on the same street as Bourbon street, it just changes names as it goes into the French Quarter. There were a lot of good restaurants around. The apartment was clean and nice. The furniture layout wasn't the most comfortable for four people if you are planning to spend a lot of time in the apartment, but is fine if you are going to be out and about. Definitely would stay here again.

The place was amazing!! Hosts were super friendly and responsive. The location was nice as you could walk to every attraction. 10/10 would recommend.
