Mini moon is just pure bliss. We stayed for a winter break and were able to really switch off and reset. The location is super rural and there are loads of great walks close by. Highly recommend!

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

It was absolutely immaculate, incredibly clean and very comfy. Welcomed with a gift of wine and biscuits! It had everything we needed, plenty of towels, dressing gowns for the hot tub, hand soaps etc. We had a really lovely stay.

Lovely weekend! Absolutely loved the decking and hot tub area and watching the sunrise in the morning! Had a lovely long walk to explore the surrounding areas and we were very impressed! Hopefully be back again soon!

Beautiful place. Lovely surroundings. We went in February but would love to return in the summer. Property was well furnished and warm. Would highly recommend. Host replied straight away if we asked anything.

This place is absolutely perfect. The interior decor is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Everything has been well thought out, it was such a pleasure to stay. With a chippy (which I highly recommend), a shop, multiple pubs, and plenty of walking routes (Shap abbey is a MUST) the barn was in the most perfect spot. Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay.

Traveled from the US to collect sea glass! This was the perfect location and had everything we needed. Debra was so helpful with every question and request we had. She went above and beyond to assist us with our transportation needs. We had an amazing time and would return without question!

We had a lovely stay this weekend for my birthday. Everything was perfect for us. The house is super clean and I felt as though I was in my own home. Melanie was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. It makes no sense to me to stay a the local hotels, as nice as most of them are they just can’t match the value or money here. We will be back.
