This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

This place is super cute. Great for a weekend getaway. Colby and Hilary stocked the home with everything you can think of. We had a great time!

Nice stay just outside of Blowing Rock with close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and beautiful views of Grandfather and Sugar Mountains. Host is very responsive and made sure we had what we needed.

Just what my husband and I needed. Far enough from town so it was peaceful but still close enough to be able to do stuff. The hot tub was probably my husband’s and I favorite thing lol

We came for a getaway from all the noise in Gatlinburg TN and couldn't be happier with the privacy provided and KILLER HOT TUB! That thing is NICE! Place was very well kept and we felt right at home. We enjoyed a couple local spots for food and gave to say Mars Hill is a very cute little town! Would definitely stay here again and appreciate the very much needed time away in a nice peaceful spot for our anniversary.

This quaint cottage is nestled in the blue ridge mountains with beautiful views and cozy amenities. The house was as described, the hot tub was great, the stars were beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I wanted to have a peaceful weekend after attending appointments at the VA hospital close by. This location hit the mark perfectly! Peaceful, simply elegant, and clean with the bonus of nature surrounding us. We enjoyed relaxing evenings looking at the stars from the jacuzzi.

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 dogs! The cottage was very comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed.. including coffee and tea! The beds were comfortable and the open living room was perfect. We loved the seating on the deck, and the fenced-in backyard overlooking a creek was perfect for our dogs. Location was great with a short drive into Asheville. Our dogs especially loved the visits from the cows next door!! Hope to return soon!!

We were in town for a wedding and had looked for a place near the venue. We were an easy 10 minutes away. While still being a peaceful and private location, we were near main streets. As soon as we arrived, we felt right at home. Everything was cozy and we didn’t lack for anything. The outdoor space was serene and beautiful. We certainly hope to visit again soon!

Benjamin and Sommer were great hosts! The home was relatively easy to find, but I would recommend using a four-wheel drive vehicle as the main road to the home and driveway to the house were very steep and uneven. If you're looking to get away from the noise and see the stars, this is a wonderful spot.

This little cottage is so adorable and in the perfect location. The cottage was clean and felt like home. The area is peaceful with hiking trails nearby. Brianna recommended a nearby restaurant, Bones Jones which was amazing. Will definitely book here again.

probably one of the better Airbnbs I have been to in a very very long time. Not only is the house cute, but the front patio and out door fire pit was just amazing. My wife and I spent the day exploring asheville and the blue ridge park way and would come back to the cozy home. would 100 percent recommend this place to any one coming through.

We’ve stayed at a couple of Airbnbs in Asheville and this one was our favorite! The layout of the house was perfect and we loved all of the outdoor spaces. The expansive back porch, huge yard for soccer, and corner hot tub were favorites for the whole family. The beds were so comfortable that we had a hard time getting out of them in the morning. Our bulldog loved the yard, fenced back porch, and wooded area. Jon was so communicative and had wonderful restaurant recommendations. We hope to come back soon for another stay!

Beautiful home—we enjoyed our stay very much. Francis was friendly and so helpful! We brought our son and two furry four legged daughters who loved the grounds! It was actually better than pictures and descriptions. Home was clean, inviting, comfortable. You won’t be disappointed picking this home for a vacation or quick stay We will definitely be back. Sweet guest cottage in the mountains. Theme decor is very welcoming and comfortable. Gives rustic chic vibes. Feels spacious. Sofa bed linens and mattress pad made for a v comfortable place to sleep. Two bathrooms and ample hot water and towels. Up a steep hill, choose the one minute longer route up Possum vs Sunset road and it is not as twisty and steep. Probably not a walk to town kind of place due to the hillside perch but close enough that you wont mind the quick drive. We saw deer, bunnies and a bear in the neighborhood. Thoughtful host, lots of nice little touches (S'MORES!!!!).

We had a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in South Asheville or Arden area!

The house is very cute, and has really neat vintage appliances (I love the old fridge!). The area is quiet, the Internet works well, and the house has everything needed for a comfy stay.

This cottage provided a wonderful weekend getaway. It is cozy with all that you would need. They were great with their instructions and the location was very quiet. It is walkable to many of our favorite eating spots. It was a great find for the 2 of us, and we look forward to going back!

Lovely little cottage in a holler with creek and privacy. We had some light snow but roads were passable. Great place for small family and close to numerous activities.

Rented the Airbnb for family members to stay at while there were here from out of town. Per the uncle the house was cleaned, convenient, easy to find, and close to restaurants and stores. Home was clean and comfortable.

This is a great little cottage that is located just off the main road so we had easy access to the local towns, the grocery store and the local attractions, including grandfather Mountain. Also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The space is thoughtfully decorated with modern furnishings. It was a great set up for myself and my three kids (ages 9 to 14). It was very comfortable and we enjoyed the space after long days of hiking. Would definitely recommend.
