Busi Msimango is a great communicator - prior to our arrival we exchanged several emails where she had quite a few ideas about how we could spend our time in Soweto, and recommendations for places to eat. She arranged an excellent day tour of Soweto for us with Mpho Mochaka, a guide from Soweto who really knew the area, and the people. When an MTB cycling event took Busi away from home for the period of our stay, she arranged for another person to greet us at the house, and to ensure we were comfortably settled in. She also allowed us to park our rental car in her lock-up garage, attached to the house. I can highly recommend Busi's house as a place to stay, and also highly recommend Mpho as a guide to the very interesting Soweto area. Overall, a really good stay!

Denise greatly contributed to my pleasant experience in South Africa. She's personable, generous, kind, and knowledgeable. Phoebe is friendly as well 🙂. The location is absolutely fine; I did not once feel unsafe. Also, the breakfasts are generously portioned if you opt in. All in all, I had a great stay and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

Harold and Cecile are so welcoming, and very accommodating. Some of the friendliest people we know. The place was clean and cosy, a home away from home. The bed is very comfy, had the best nights sleep. Will definitely keep this on our short list.

I recently stayed at Merwelene's unique home for two nights while in Sandton for a late meeting. As someone who appreciates creative spaces, I was thoroughly impressed by this accommodation! The house has such distinctive character - truly unusual in the best possible way. Every corner seems thoughtfully designed with artistic touches that reflect Merwelene's creative background (her photographic studio is downstairs). The space was spotless clean, well cared for, and looks like it belongs in a design magazine inside! It was exceptionally well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldn't be more convenient - very central to Sandton, making it perfect for my business meeting. I particularly enjoyed unwinding in the evening on the balcony with its beautiful city view. What a treat to watch the sunset after a long day! Merwelene herself was an excellent host - responsive, friendly and she goes the extra mile. My new home away from home!
