The Pink House on Echo Farm

LauraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Beautiful restored farm house with enough room for 4 adults and 3 kids for a family getaway! We were able to cook dinners with a very well equipped kitchen and enjoy the fire pit in the backyard with incredible sunsets. Our kids loved the hike to the river on the property and our family really enjoyed spending a day at the Coastal botanical gardens which was only a few minutes drive away from the house!

Charming Waterfront Ranch in Boothbay Harbor

VanessaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
OH my Goodness!!! This house is amazing!! We've been visiting the Maine coastline for 23 years and have always stayed in different houses for a new adventure. This house makes me want to stay at the same place for our next trip. Being right near the footbridge was a huge plus. We gathered sea glass and adventured out into the cove at every low tide and found tons of treasures. We cooked a huge Sunday meal in the house on Sunday night and I found the kitchen well stocked with cooking essentials. (we did bring our own spices, we are foodies). It is not modern or fancy but rather cozy and comforting. We felt right at home. We walked over the footbridge and into town many times. It's the perfect home base for a Boothbay or Maine vacation.

New Listing! Waterfront Round Pond Home

RachelRating, 5 stars5 months ago
What an amazing spot! My family and I enjoyed mornings on the dock, watching spectacular sunrises and daily sightings of bald eagles. The walk down to the dock was lined nicely with stone steps and once on the dock it was hard to leave. The three kayaks allowed us to explore the coastline and although the shoreline was rocky, we enjoyed a dip in the cool September waters. The house was perfectly decorated and equipped with everything and anything needed. Lisa was great to work with, quick to answer any questions and accommodating with requests. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view of the sunrise each morning, priceless. The location was perfect, within minutes from a venue where we were attending a wedding and a few restaurants, although we hated to leave the house. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home that slept seven of us comfortably. If you're looking for a peaceful spot with stunning views, this place is perfect. We would love to visit again.

Quiet Waterfront Cottage on cove

ChristineRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We returned for a second summer to this delightful rustic yet modern cottage located on the Sheepscot River because it has everything we need for a relaxing vacation. The three sets of sliding glass doors which lead to an expansive deck and screened porch showcase the picturesque view of the river. Just steps down a newly renovated path is an equally stunning view from the private dock. We spent many hours either drinking our morning coffee or enjoying a glass of wine sitting in the rocking chairs watching a variety boats and wildlife including a pair of eagles nesting nearby. We found the location of the cottage provided us with easy access to Bath, Boothbay Harbor and of course, Reid State Park while also offering a sense of privacy and remoteness so vital for a rejuvenating vacation. The new, well stocked kitchen makes cooking easy. We also loved having dinner at Five Island Lobster, The Osprey and Blue, all a convient distance away.
Two yellow Adirondack chairs are positioned on a deck overlooking the serene waters of Linekin Bay. A small table accompanies the chairs, creating a cozy spot to enjoy the expansive views of the dock and surrounding scenery.

This charming cottage in a picture-perfect setting will take you back in time to Maine of the 1920’s. You can relax near the water on the dock, sit up on the deck and watch for bald eagles, tuck yourself away in the cozy, sheltered dining area on the porch, or relax by the fire in the living room. We can’t wait to go back!

Harbor Hideaway

PaulRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a great time staying in Julie's place for our visit to Maine. It was nice and quiet but still very close to downtown. Access to kayaks and the water was excellent. The house itself was clean and there was a great selection of movies to watch at night. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Charming waterfront cottage-East Boothbay, ME

MichelleRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The home is so welcoming and a great location with a beautiful view. It’s the first rental we’ve been to that was well stocked with supplies, dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. I usually bring 1/2 of my belongings from home because you never know what to expect. Believe me, next time we stay, so many items will stay home, for which I am so grateful. The General Store up the street has great food, coffee, beverages. The grocery store is 5 minutes away, and the Point to view the ocean and sunsets is located 10 minutes away. Anna is a wonderful host and she’s available for questions. She truly cares about her guests. We arrived when the leaves are starting to turn a bit, and the scenery is amazing. I can only imagine what it looks like in full color. We hope to return next September and possibly make it a longer stay. I loved watching the currents change and to see which direction the boats that were tied up turned, as well. I miss it already! I highly recommend this property.

Janine’s place was beyond what I expected! The space is much bigger than the photos show and the surrounding area is so quiet and peaceful but close enough to surrounding towns & trails. My husband and I stayed here with a couple friends for a wedding and we had such a lovely time kayaking, reading by the lake, and making breakfast each morning. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at The Pink Cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first. Ellen and Wilder are thoughtful hosts who have provided a super clean, comfortable, well stocked home away from home on beautiful Lake Damariscotta. It's easily the best rental we've stayed in, and we look forward to our next trip to Maine....especially in the fall!

THE NOOK at Camp Otyokwa

JohnRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Beautiful RUSTIC cabin right beside the lake, super peaceful area with lots to explore. The cabin is filled with lots of neat memorabilia from the old summer camp that used to inhabit the land. We stayed in mid October and it was starting to get pretty chilly (space heater only, building is not insulated) This is one step above glamping so be prepared.

Cozy waterfront cabin

This was exactly what I wanted, quiet, gorgeous, with a screened in porch to watch the water. Everything was as described. Check to make sure you like the location, because it's not super close to anything, but as a person looking for a peaceful spot on the water, this was superb. I'll be staying again.

Several boats are visible, moored along the shoreline, while golden marshes complement the vibrant foliage on the hills. CHARMING CABIN: lakefront, nestled in nature, canoe

TylerRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I had a very nice stay at Kim's cottage. It was rustic, quaint and a very peaceful respite from the hectic world. The lake is an amazing setting. When the ocean is cold, the lake is just right. And it comes with a great dock to watch the loons and kayakers go by as you drink a cold Allagash. I would encourage some investment in newer mattresses and sofas, but those are but small annoyances that do not overshadow a lovely stay on Knickerbocker Lake.

Cozy Oceanfront Cabin on Private Maine Island

Chris EllenRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our trip was incredible. just like I wanted, peace and relaxation. The cabin was beyond well stocked with all the essentials from flashlights extension cords, garbage bags, ziplock bags, paper towels, toilet paper, pots and pans, all kinds of kitchen utensils and beyond what you will even use.Cleaning supplies, because you do clean the cabin yourself. Even bug spray!Which we didn't even have to use.But like most visiting the cabin, you bring things you didn't need to and you leave your stuff behind, paying it forward to the next guests. Pictures do not do this place justice, it's a must see for yourself. Waking up on the chilly August morning and having my coffee sitting on a giant rock in sweats, where 4 hours ago the rock was under high tide.Watching the Lobster boats. And then sunbathing on such rock by the late morning. Having dinner in the screened in porch and then playing games by a cozy wood burning stove. I have found my Happy Place.Thank you Laurence for an incredible experience.
