Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lewisburg

Have stayed in this area a few times and this is by far the best rental I’ve stayed in, the location is beautiful and peaceful. the house looked just like the photos. We absolutely loved the hot tub with all the stars and quiet surroundings. Highly recommend making the drive to new river gorge, and just up the road to Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park. Location was so beautiful I proposed in the woods behind the house and she said yes! An important and wonderful place in our life story can’t wait to come back

Great location and a perfect place for our family!

We just had a little family reunion for the weekend. The kids loved the hot tub and the house was big enough for everyone to relax and just spend time together.

This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

An amazing property. Very peaceful. Hot tub A+. Heating stove in living room was very effective and nice to quickly warm up inside after a night time hot tub soak on the patio. Easy access to all directions and in the gorge. Friendly check in. The only ‘issue’ was the comfort of the mattress, but that’s a personal detail/preference and very hard to please every single person. We had such a peaceful and enjoyable stay at the Rock Ridge Ranch. The host was amazingly accomadating and the cabin was a slice of Heaven. The space was cozy and close to restaurants and grocery stores. Look forward to returning in the future.

Perfect location to Virginia Tech, only a 5 min drive to campus and restaurants. Located in a quiet neighborhood area with great views of the mountains and a large fenced in backyard. There was everything we needed for our weekend stay, including fresh blueberry muffins and donuts on our arrival! The beds were very comfortable and she has all the streaming services on her tv so we watched a movie one night. Ruth was a great host and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Quincy is a smart and thoughtful host; ready to provide any help that's wanted/ needed. This was a wonderful experience. I would especially recommend to anyone new to the area and wanting a peaceful place to relax.

We absolutely loved this place. It was peaceful after a hectic day on campus but not to far of a drive. We absolutely loved the goats and the donkeys and perfect location for our two Goldens. I just visited North Garden House in Lewisburg WV 4/4/25. It was absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. The patio was quiet and peaceful. The house was warm and inviting. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. If you are looking for a getaway and some R&R then this location is it!!

It was very peaceful and very clean. If I ever needed anything they were very respectful and responsive. I would stay there anytime I am in the area. This would be my number 1 pick if I were in the area.

Chelsea's place offered a slice of quiet Roanoke life in a vibrant neighborhood full of beautiful historic homes. I walked almost every day to Second Cafe for my caffeine fix and enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the nearby Evie's cafe. I found the location unbeatable and the cabin perfect for a solo stay.

Had a fantastic and peaceful getaway with my boyfriend. We went out for a climbing trip and Joseph's place was absolutely the perfect spot to come back to after a good long day out at the crag. The bed was VERY comfortable, livingroom was nice and cozy and the kitchen was great for cooking all our meals, including use of the oven which was super clean. The house and area really made us feel like we were at home. Would definitely recommend Joseph's!

We had a great stay in Hinton. This home is spacious and incredibly peaceful, and the host is wonderful and has plenty of great local recommendations. Hinton has lots of great history and very friendly people, and I would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be coming back to West Virginia.

Great location and the pool and fire pit were the perfect amenities to end a day of riding! The host was very responsive and made planning our trip, getting trail passes, check in, and check out seamless. We couldn’t find any extra supplies at the house (ie paper towels, trash bags, etc.) so recommend bringing some of the day to day basics with you. Would definitely recommend to others!

We had a great time. The passport sent was useful and very accurate. The space was clean and the heated pool was great.

Amazing location in the village, best hot tub of any building! This makes it all worth it! The unit itself was very small and old, could use quite a bit of updates. The bed was nice and soft. You are definitely timely paying for location and amenities with this one, but still worth it in my eyes.

Second time we have stayed and have enjoyed each. Large farm house, is starting to show its age but that adds to the character. Pool and hot tub worked perfectly, Only 6 miles from Fayetteville. Great place for a large group on a rafting adventure.

Gwen’s condo was fantastic - the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The condo was clean, homey, and stocked with the essentials. Gwen and Alan were extremely helpful and communicative - they made everything a breeze. It was great to be right next to night skiing with fresh snow. Will have to come back!

Great stay utilizing Don's place down at Silver Creek. Highly recommend for lower cost vs the top of the mountain options with Shuttle availability to the top.

For me personally, this was my favorite Airbnb i have rented. I needed the seclusion, one of those getaway from everywhere type vacations and this fit that perfect. The pool on the lake was so cool along with the sauna, i was there everyday. Its 20 minties from town but there are some very goos restaurants and its 1 hiur from new river gorge with very scenic drives. We will be back!.
