Aird Villa with its south facing decking is said to be one of the nicest houses on the Isle of Scalpay. It sits overlooking Scalpay’s quiet North Harbour where the local fishing boats are moored. From the decking it's exhilarating watching the birds & boats as you are more or less right above the water's edge. We had a delightful six night stay at Njord House. It was exactly what we wanted (remote and quiet, but accommodation of a high standard), and when we weren’t hill walking we were able to take advantage of the lovely environment that the property provides. It is very clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped, and has lovely views over the loch through large floor to ceiling windows. Adelaide was a very attentive host, and communication was responsive and comprehensive. Very highly recommended. We would love to return.

Lagan Glas is a beautiful, luxurious cottage in a magnificent location. We had a fantastic week on Skye as a family of 5 with our Labrador. The cottage has everything you’d want for some relaxation time: XBox for the kids, log burner to drink a whisky by and stunning views to stare out to. The kitchen and dining area are superb and very well equipped and the bathrooms likewise. The location in Glendale is stunning (as is every corner of Skye) with a lovely circular walk via a rocky beach for the dog to run about and an excellent cafe for a pit stop. There’s also a very special vegetarian restaurant and tea room not far away. Karen is super helpful and swift in her responses, with excellent local insight and suggestions. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Lagan Glas and Skye in general.

Joan was super responsive. Although her instructions were limited to 2 pages, she answered any question I had within minutes. The area is lovely and she recommended The Brewery, which is a great restaurant with a wide selection of beers brewed on the premises. She also recommended a local weaver, which was a highlight of our stay. The house had what we needed. The heating boost was easy to use.

Susan was extremely helpful and very friendly to deal with. The property is tucked away in a nice private area and has everything you need for your stay. I loved the paintings on the walls and bathroom, incredible talent! The area is outstanding and there are some amazing beaches, scenery and walks on the door step, Susan was very helpful in pointing out where everything is and making recommendations for seeing the best of the Island. My girlfriend and I have just had spend the last 2 days on the Isle of Skye and were so happy to call this our base. It was exactly like the photos and description - but even better in person! It was easy to find, great parking and the views are just incredible! The cabin is bigger than it looks on the pictures and the quality/ attention to detail was perfect. We have stays in a few tiny homes/ cabins and can safety say this is the best we’ve had to the pleasure of staying in and will be back! If you’re a couple looking to explore the Isle of Skye then this cabin is perfect.

An absolutely beautiful airbnb- the best we’ve ever stayed in. Peaceful, great views, lovely area with a small general store and really nice cafe. It’s worth doing a bigger shop before heading to the area. The cabin was spotless, and had everything we needed- couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We will absolutely be back in the future.

Had a brilliant time at Ken's, the cottage had everything you need and the location was perfect for exploring Assynt. Many of the furnishings are dated but this added to the charm of the place. Shower was powerful, Internet was surprisingly fast and bed comfortable. Ken is very friendly and communication is second to none. Would love to visit again!
