Had a fantastic time at John's place. A beautiful, clean, spacious house with all mod cons in a great location. John couldn't have been more helpful and provided local recommendations for restaurants, pubs & shops. He met us & messaged us during the visit to make sure we were OK which was much appreciated. We were made to feel completely at home. Highly recommended and would love to stay there again.

Secret Mersea Retreat - late booking discounts!

Second time at Little Lodge and it was just as good as the first time. It's in a great location, just a short walk to the beach and the town centre, but I'm a quiet location down a private driveway. It's a great place for a relaxing weekend away. Arriving late in the evening on a frosty night, it's great to find the lights and heating on and the bottle of prosecco was a great touch. We will be back.

Clair was an amazing host. She answered quick when I messaged and the caravan was absolutely perfect for me and my two kiddies. Well kitted out and very clean. We had a fabulous time once again with all my children, partners and dogs. It’s the 2nd year we have booked Katrina’s house between Xmas and new year and I would 100% recommend it . The house smells amazing , the beds super comfy and the pillows and bed linen of superb quality. In fact I’ve purchased the same pillows for home ! The garden is large and fully enclosed for dogs and there’s ample parking for 4 cars. Katrina and nick are superb hosts and we would love to book for a 3rd year !

Had a lovely stay at Natalie’s lodge. Clean, cozy and comfortable; it had everything we needed. Peaceful surroundings and secure, felt very safe. Easy walk to the beach and local pub. Excellent communication from Natalie before and during our stay. Thank you, Natalie!

Stayed at the property with 3 friends for a little reunion and we absolutely loved it! It has everything you need and we felt very welcome. We really enjoyed the hot tub which was ready for us when we arrived and the location over looking the sea was beautiful. I especially loved the bathroom with a nice big bath! Comfortable beds with provided eye masks which was a lovely little touch! Very responsive and helpful hosts! Thank you so much!

Beautiful 2 bedroom seaside retreat great location

We've had a nice August Bank Holiday weekend at Lee's place. The caravan was clean, tidy and well looked after. A travel cot and a high chair were both available, which really helped us. There was a chilled bottle in the fridge (for adults) and games and books available (for kids). It was very thoughtful of Lee. It was a shame that the Saturday was an absolute washout and we couldn't explore the area. But this is the British summer for you! You would need to buy a day pass for any entertainment (5min walk from the caravan). However, only the swimming and the entrance to the pub and the arcade is included in the day pass. Any other activities you wish to try need to be paid for separately. Also it's worth checking swimming availability first, before purchasing the day pass, as swim times are limited. The bakery just round the corner on the main street was a great discovery. Nice walks with the kids by the sea were good too. Lee's place was great and he is a very good host.

We had a wonderful stay at Michelle’s place. It was exactly as described with lots of homely and useful touches. It was immaculate and everything provided was excellent quality. It was perfect for two people, having parking in this area is a great help. Michelle was helpful and responded quickly to any questions. We’ve already recommended Riverview and will stay again when we’re in the area. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

I have been to this lodge a few times now with my family. The views and amazing and pictures does not do justice. The lodge is nice and clean and has everything we need. My young children love here and we will visit again. Lovely location and would recommend anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Absolutely fabulous place felt like home from home. Has all the amenities, as being a cook, I couldn’t grumble as there was everything I needed, truly made it a special place. It is very clean and tidy, Mick and Helena have been available for all our questions. The outside space is amazing, large decking and enclosed garden for the dogs. Cannot fault Robyn’s place, clean and enough room for 8 without feeling on top Of eachother, on the site you need to purchase passed to do any of the activities which were around £5 per person a day Lovely decking area to sit on and enjoy a relax inbetween the day Safe enough for the kids to go up to the park without needing to worry about them too much Only thing I would say is take food,snacks etc because there is no supermarkets near by, the nearest Tesco is around 30 minutes drive away and the local shops are extremely overpriced, as well as the food and drinks on the site, the food was nice in most places but just very expensive, beach is walking distance and there is a massive strip of amusements for the kids

Kathleen was an incredible host, she was on call whenever we needed her. She added the personal touch by having tea, coffee and biscuits in the caravan. The caravan had a PlayStation, DVDs, and many games for the children to play. Thank you Kathleen.
