Charming, Spacious and Convenient ~ Close to OSU

My wife and I stayed at Ruth's place recently for my birthday celebration and it was great for our needs. Check in was communicated well and Ruth even let us know that we could arrive early because the place was ready to go. The space was clean and comfortable and bigger than we expected. There isn't a full kitchen, but the small kitchenette served us well for our 3 night stay. The place is in a nice quite neighborhood not too far from downtown and OSU. There is plenty of parking on the street and a private side entrance to the place. Ruth was thoughtful enough to leave me a happy birthday note and a yummy brownie from the local co-op. There were some other snacks/treats that were made available and Ruth even reached out to see what we liked with our coffee and had that available as well. This was a great place to stay and way better than many of the motel options in town that are a similar price. We would highly recommend this place and will consider it for future stays.

Over the years we have found the cottage to be our home away from home when we’ve come to Monmouth to visit our daughter attending WOU. The location is perfect, close to everything and still in a quiet neighborhood. Dan is responsive to questions and has been flexible with check in or changing dates when we’ve needed it. I think this is our last stay as our daughter graduates in June and will be moving. We have loved “the pink house” and will miss the comforts we found there!

If you're looking for a place to just sit back and relax, this is it! It is right out on the edge of town, on one of the major bike paths. Grocery stores and restaurants are only minutes away. But I suspect you'll prefer to eat in the corner dining room overlooking the stream and fields, watching the little birds flit in and out. And if you want some hikes, there are multiple parks & nature areas very close by. It's an amazing place full of art, books, music, and history. We spent so much time just looking at and talking about the art pieces throughout the house. (I found a painter I'd never heard of but whose work now really fascinates me! [Remedios Varo]) We will definitely stay here again.

From booking to check-out, we felt welcome and comfortable. The property was wonderful - clean, unique, and had everything we could need. Getting in to the house was easy and the videos we received before checking in were super helpful! While in town, we tried Mill City Grill, Rosie’s Mountain Coffee House (twice), and Giovanni’s Pizza. All of them were fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Walking in we felt like we walked in to Joanna Gaines house. It’s perfectly decorated! Extremely clean and so comfortable. Close to shopping and a ton of restaurants. Easy on and off the I-5 as well. It’s a great home for a family with children. The bedrooms are perfect for a family with 2 boys and a girl. Nicole was super responsive and makes the check out extremely easy!!! BTW the Hawaiian Host macadamia chocolates waiting for us was so sweet!!! And the binder with the house instructions as well as all the local restaurants was super helpful!!! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here!!! Thank you Nicole!!!
