Vacation rentals in Laughing Bird Cay

High House was perfect for our first trip to Eleuthera with our two teenage daughters. We rented a car to explore the beaches and sites around Eleuthera, and it was always great to come home to the beautiful rental after a long day. While very close to Governor's Harbor, it feels extremely private as it is the only house built in a new development. The house is incredible - perfect size for 4 people, great decks for hanging out, very well stocked with almost everything you would want. It feels brand new - like we were the first people to stay there (I know we weren't). A huge bonus are the beach chairs and towels available (which we used almost daily), the yoga mats, the outdoor grill, and the helpful tips on restaurants and favorite beaches from Joy and Dom. We loved feeding the chickens and cat who came for a visit every morning. Overall, it was a perfect rental for our family. Five-star rental and five-star hosts.

We absolutely loved our stay at Stone House and can't wait to go back! The cottage is lovely and the master suite on the lower level is luxurious. The property is so peaceful and centrally located to so many great beaches and restaurants. If you are looking to disconnect and take it all in, stay here. You are surrounded by luscious trees and blooming flowers, a few cats and chickens. It was all part of the experience. We loved having the coffee/gift shop right on the property and enjoyed both mornings and afternoons by the pool (didn't see any other guests, we had it all to ourselves). The location to everything was stellar. Charmaine and Patrick made us feel so welcome and were there to make sure we had everything we needed. They also wrapped the ceramic bowl I bought to make sure it didn't break. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

We stayed at Joy & Dom’s place for our baby moon. It was the perfect location and very walkable to multiple businesses in the heart of Governors Harbor. I highly recommend staying here if this is your first time visiting Eleuthera and you want to get the lay of the land. Joy & Dom provided a list of wonderful recommendations prior to arrival and were very responsive with any questions we had. The home also had everything we need in terms of beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. We absolutely fell in love with Eleuthera and will be coming back in the near future!

The apartment was great and had everything you need and more, like fishing rods and beach chairs, which were very much appreciated. And if you want to be within walking distance of the grocery store and restaurants, the location is perfect. It was also very nice to be able to sit out on the veranda and have breakfast/dinner. From the veranda you can also watch the fishermen come in with the day's catch and basically just walk across the street to buy fresh fish for dinner. We were two couples and the apartment suited us very well, with an ensuite bathroom to the bedrooms. Everything from the booking to the reception when we arrived worked smoothly, with good information and tips from Dom, so we can really recommend this accommodation.

The accommodation is a perfect as everyone says, don't hesitate. Fly to Nassau and when you get off the plane get into the 'in transit' queue which is on the left hand side of Passport control. We were through in 3 minutes. Head to Terminal A which is about 2 minutes walk and then jump on a charter flight using Pineapple Air, Flamingo Air or Southern Air, which you can pre book using their websites. Fly to Governor's Harbour airport if you can, but if not, Rock Sound is the next closest. When you arrive, the island is far more chilled and empty than we expected but this quickly became a fantastic positive in everyway. On your first couple of days while you adjust you can just walk over the hill to French Leave beach and have the stunning place to yourself. Make sure you go to Val's deli which is about 1 minutes walk from the house and order a car. Ask Val if you can speak to Kevin. Go to Tippy's, go to Bourgeonvillia, go to all the beaches, go to Harbour Island. Best holiday ever!

I absolutely loved my stay at Fond Memories. The house was well appointed in the center of town, but quiet and serene . It was very clean inside and well decorated and modern. The best part of my stay however, was how helpful Joy and Dom were. They had a wonderful book with a map and all of their local recommendations on the island. They were friendly and professional and made the trip very smooth and simple communicating regularly and answering all of my questions.

A well run and friendly place to stay and the team were very able to deal with any questions we had.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at the cottage. It is centrally located in Governor’s Harbour so you can walk to stores/restaurants/coffee and with a rental car, you have easy access to beaches. The cottage is clean and equipped enough to cook simple meals. The deck has a beautiful view of the ocean for sunsets. The grounds were very well maintained and we enjoyed the pool after the beach. Highly recommend for a great stay on the island!
