Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Wawasee

We had such a wonderful stay! A few college friends got together for a long weekend getaway to antique shop in Nappanee and North Webster and this was the perfect spot. We all agreed we’ll need to come back when it’s warmer so we can enjoy the lake and kayak!

So glad I stumbled upon Steph's Ice House listing. Had a peaceful, almost secluded stay yet close to the many Shipshewana attractions. Impeccably clean and decorated, with modern amenities which would be fantastic for an extended stay. Steph sent a greeting message immediately after my booking and followed up with detailed instructions and area tips. Was pleasantly surprised with doughnuts and popcorn when I arrived, a very nice touch. Looking forward to booking with her again!

Awesome host and home

Loved our stay. Location was beautiful, with visits by two different species of geese, several species of ducks, and a pair of trumpeter swans. Accommodations were roomy, clean, and well cared for. I worked remotely two of our 8 days with no issues. WiFi speed was over 300mbps down, 80mbps up from kitchen table, and over double that in the living room. If we were ever to stay in the Elkhart area again, this would be the place.

This was a perfect cozy and peaceful cottage. we can't wait to return in the warmer months but we still enjoyed waking up to the pretty lake. We were warm and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could want! The house was very clean! Ryan is a terrific host and responds promptly with friendly and very helpful messages.

We came for a stay with extended family including children from baby-teen. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep and we loved being right on the canal and the hot tub. The game room was fun for all ages and we appreciated the items for baby. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cook. Thanks for a relaxing getaway!

If you’re looking for a place for the whole group to stay together and have some fun - look no further! The house itself was better in-person than the photos and was spotless. The beds were very comfortable and the main level is a great hang out area for everyone. We had so much fun in the game garage and honestly didn’t want to leave. It’s close to proximity to everything, including a great relaxed restaurant on the water next door. Jeremy and Houston were very responsive and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Can’t wait to book another trip soon!

Beautiful space for a large family gathering. The house is lovely and the big windows overlooking the lake were fantastic. Beware, if you claim the master bedroom, the en suite shower is so awesome, everyone will be trekking in to use the six nozzle shower :-) Joe was great to communicate with. We highly recommend this place!

This place was right on the water with all of the amenities. It has everything you need. Had a great time.

Nice little get-away with my granddaughters and their moms. We took our kayaks. Enjoyed dockside fishing and beautiful sunsets by the campfire. Only downside was the spiral staircase inside which was hard to maneuver with infant and toddler. Then the additional steps down to the lake which gave us our exercises for each day. All together we had a fantastic time!

I had a pleasant stay at Howard & Ruth's place. The place was clean and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone!

The house was spotless, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything possibly needed to cook or prepare meals. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and we enjoyed relaxing on the back porch and listening to nothing but birds singing. The bed we used was comfortable, and the shower in the master bathroom was beautiful and very well constructed. We had a very nice, relaxing stay.

We loved the peace and quiet of the property. Great views, awesome hosts. Would stay again! The only thing to mention is the TVs and getting them to power on…probably user error! :)

This was my first Airbnb experience. Lindsey made this whole process so easy. She responded quickly with every question that I had. This place was beautiful! It was even better than the photos. Great amenities and fun for the whole family! Very relaxing weekend.

Very cute home and very clean! Convenient stay with my boyfriend, brother, and sister-in-law while visiting my mom for the weekend. Only downside was that the home didn’t seem to have a water softener so there was a bit of a smell when showering, but this wasn’t too big of a deal. Bernice gave very clear and friendly instructions. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic time. Wonderful location and absolutely beautiful home inside and out. Pictures do not begin to do this lovely place justice. Scott and Marli are very gracious and responsive. Their home is clean, comfortable and very well equipped with what you need for a wonderful getaway. The pier was the perfect spot to watch the sunrises and the view in the evenings overlooking the lake are breathtaking. We look forward to returning.

Great View & Deck with lots of seating, Easy Access to Lake, Plenty of Room for yard games. Plenty of room for a lot of people to stay & sleep.

Had a wonderful relaxing girls weekend. It was the perfect space to sit around or play cards or watch the lake. We had a great time!

Myself and some girl friends from college had a great stay! We had everything we needed, plenty of towels, blankets and pillows for all 5 of us. More then enough space for all of us to hang out together. We had a maintenance need and the maintenance guy was able to come very quickly and get it resolved for us.

We had a great time! The neighborhood is certainly proud of their community. Very private. We should have inquired a little deeper about the walk to the waterfront. It was a little too steep for one member of our party, but that is on us. Very relaxing environment, great atmosphere, very beautiful scenery and we got to see two beautiful owls!
