Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Sunapee

I came up to the cabin for my birthday, and ended up having three more people than I thought I would - not only was Ashley super helpful and friendly in getting us set up, but she was extremely reasonable/flexible in pricing for the other guests! The cabin was more than enough to comfortably sleep everyone, and was nice and toasty when we woke up that morning. It was an amazing birthday, for sure because we choose such a great spot !!! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Here’s the review with all names changed to Don: “We had an amazing stay at this small, modern cabin tucked in the woods! The views were breathtaking—during the day, we were surrounded by lush nature, and at night, the starry sky was simply magical. The trails on the property were incredible, perfect for hiking and exploring. The location was ideal—easy to find thanks to clear directions from Don, and just the right balance of being close enough to Keen for anything we needed, yet remote enough to feel truly immersed in nature. The kitchen was top-notch with everything we needed, so next time we’ll definitely cook our own meals instead of bringing food. Although I only spoke briefly with Don, he was incredibly kind and welcoming. We can’t wait to return!”

The cabin was very cozy, a perfect place for a weekend with the girls even when it’s rainy! The hot tub was great as well (although it is uncovered so keep that in mind if the weather is going to be bad while you stay). The restaurants nearby were also amazing. We ate at Daniel’s restaurant and pub as well as the pancake house ( just down the street from the property) and both places were great!

Staying at The Cozy Black Cabin was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and belonging. The thoughtful S’more’s Package delighted our 9-year-old, adding a special touch to our welcome. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for meal preparation, and the beds were wonderfully cozy, complemented by luxurious linens. We spent countless hours in the great room, soaking in its stunning views. On our first full day, we woke to several inches of snow—a breathtakingly beautiful sight. The hot tub overlooking the scenery added to the serene atmosphere, providing the perfect spot to unwind. This tranquil retreat is truly a haven, and we eagerly anticipate returning to savor it all once again. Thank you for creating such a remarkable space for everyone to enjoy!

Sarah’s lake house cabin was absolutely amazing!! It had a working hot tub, she provided lots of towels, a clean kitchen, large restroom with hot water, a clean spacious cabin. It was perfect after a long ski day to go and relax. The cabin is very cozy. I really appreciated that Sarah was very responsive when I had questions and she offered great recommendations.

We had a great time in the cabin! The view was awesome! The house has everything one needs. Want to come back!

We had a wonderful weekend at Marty's cabin. The cabin was very cozy, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, watched the birds at the feeders and went into Woodstock and beyond for an afternoon adventure. It was so nice to be in a place that was so warm and well cared for. This house was the perfect place to "unplug" and recharge. We will definitely be back again!

Great long weekend! The place was adorable and accurately described! Close to Polar Caves, downtown Plymouth, cute restaurants in area. would definitely recommend

Natalia’s home was beautiful! We stayed for a winter ice fishing weekend with a few couples, including dogs and babies. The home was right on the ice, which was perfect for our purpose. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The living room seating was particularly great- everyone always had a comfy spot to sit. We enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous spot! We loved everything about the cabin, from the cozy, beautifully furnished and decorated living area, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the cool maps on all the walls! It was a chilly weekend in Sunapee, but we even managed to soak up some sun on the chairs outside. This was the best place for a homey staycation with good friends -- we had everything we needed and felt right at home here in these lovely, peaceful, private digs that make you feel like you're in the middle of the forest (but still only about a 25 minute walk from cute town, plus Cara has a ton recommendations if you're looking for something to do). We will definitely stay here next time we visit NH!

We had a great time at Molly's cabin. We were looking for a quiet stay and we had that. Lots of walking and hiking. The cabin was just as described snd Molly was a fantastic host. Thank you Molly!

We wanted to check out Halley’s log cabin as a possible place to bring our dog when we come to this area to visit our daughter and her family. The cabin itself is very pet-friendly with good-sized rooms, and the surroundings are great for a dog to explore. The cabin is on a quiet road, and when I walked each day there was very little traffic, so safe for walking a dog! We found that it was very peaceful for sleeping. When we had a couple questions, Halley was very quick to respond. As several others have mentioned, you are not far from Quechee and Woodstock and the major highways, so if you want privacy and convenience then this place fits the bill.

Stephanie’s cabin is a perfect secluded getaway in the middle of the woods. Nobody else uses the road the cabin is on, and it’s very quiet and peaceful there. The only noises you hear are the rustling of chipmunks surrounding the cabin, You might be visited by a gaggle of turkeys, they left some of their feathers at the front door. Other than that the cabin is also nice inside with basic amenities and electricity. Tv with some classic dvds and some board games. There is no insulation but two heaters if you don’t mind the cold. Overall a great getaway.

Had a great stay at this cabin for an overnight ski trip to Mt. Sunapee, a short drive away. The host was quick to respond when I needed help checking in. Plenty of space for 3 of us.

Great place to stay for a few nights. Very remote, but close to a few skiing mountains. Overall amazing stay!!

The log cabin was well-appointed and beautiful. It was lovely, clean, cozy and had everything we could have needed. Greg was friendly and responsive to the few questions that came up. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay; this was the perfect launching spot to get to several different ski areas. The kitchen is well equipped so we were easily able to cook meals. We also loved the wood stove, the cosy seating, and the comfortable beds. We would definitely come back!

Cousin’s cottage was very comfortable and quiet neighborhood, which allowed me to work remotely easily. Internet worked great and the house had everything we needed for our month long stay!! Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The place was absolutely clean, and stocked with the most thoughtful touches—snacks, a bottle of wine, lux soaps and lotions, a wonderful selection of coffee and teas (one day tried the Keurig, next tried the Nespresso). The pillows/beds were perfect! And can we talk about the KILLER hair dryer?! Every detail was so well thought out. If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond, this is it. While I couldn’t ski due to a recent ACL surgery, I spent the entire weekend here while my family hit the slopes—and it was bliss. Cozy, peaceful, and just minutes from the mountain for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. I’m already excited about coming back in the summer and fall to experience the lake in a whole new way. And a HUGE thank you to the incredible host for the kindness and generosity in letting me check out late due to my injury—it meant so much tome and my family. Honestly, the 5-star rating doesn’t do it justice… this place is a 10 star gem.
