This place is beautiful highly recommend I went away from my 26th birthday and I’m so glad that I picked this place such a calming getaway from 40+ hour work weeks the cabin is immaculate in the woods and extremely beautiful and relaxing. Ksenia is also really nice and super responsive and helpful. we honestly didn’t have to reach out much because she already thought of it all!

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

This was the perfect weekend getaway. The place is perfect and super homey, it has everything needed to cook as well as a great hot tub with a spacious deck to hang out at. It snowed while we were there and the hosts made sure the driveway was plowed as well as the front porch and back deck. I will most definitely stay there next time!

I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway weekend! The cabin itself is bright and beautiful and the host was incredibly responsive. Stargazing in the hot tub was absolutely the highlight!

This was a beautiful cabin! My girlfriend and I stayed here in order to visit Snowshoe mountain. Activities on the mountain ended up being a bust, so we spent a majority of our time at this cabin and it made our trip wonderful. The hot tub is great and the view from the bedroom deck is beautiful. The house was spotless and very cozy. If we ever visit again, we will definitely stay at this cabin!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in West Virginia! The space was very clean, and the surrounding landscape was absolutely beautiful—a perfect peaceful getaway. This is a truly special cabin. A perfect escape from everyday life. The setting is magical, with an open meadow bordered by a mountain stream. We spent our time lounging on the deck in the hot tub while snow fell around us. The night sky is so clear and I haven't seen so many stars in ages. The cabin itself is rustic, clean, and charming. Highly recommended!

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!

Perfect spot for a cozy trip in the mountains! We stayed dry and warm during an especially rainy/snowy weekend. The space was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. We were even surprised with a bouquet of roses for Valentine's Day and a collection of toys for our pup.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

We had a great time at the Evergreen with our dog! The environment is amazing, private and peaceful. The weather was nice so we spent a lot of time outdoors, and the relative proximity to the New River Gorge National Park was great for a day trip.

We lived out stay at Turtle Brook Farms. It was private and secluded. The host was responsive. She gave instructions for checkin as well as recommendations. There was no WiFi which we were looking for to have an unplugged weekend. There was also spotty service/none, but again, what we wanted. The host offered us to use the WiFi and kitchen at the main inn if needed. They provided firewood and everything to start a fire. We lived our stay and look forward ti our next weekend getaway!

A perfect getaway that provided peaceful views, nature, and bonus for being pet friendly. Kendra's husband was doing some work on the property, it was a pleasure running into him and talking. Entire property was well kept, very satisfied.

The Cabin at Bare Farm is so serene and an excellent place to reconnect with nature. The cabin has everything you need. It simultaneously feels isolated and yet is convenient to everything in Lexington.

They give very clear instructions on how to get here, because it is a bit complicated, but with their help we had no problem. The area is very pretty and the cabin has everything you could want. The only difficulty we had was were no able to make phone calls, we were able to get enough of a connection at snowshoe, but be aware you will be cutoff from almost all internet uses. Outside of that we loved using the fire pit and grill every night, and we look towards our next visit!

The unplugged Yellowstone was such a beautiful and relaxing quick getaway. We brought our two dogs and they absolutely loved the stream. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. Carlin was a very responsive host and so helpful with our last minute requests. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Visiting from Virginia Beach with our daughters, one at JMU and one at Virginia Tech, and with family from PA.  The fall color was gorgeous!  Enjoyed the lantern ghost tour and October illumination of the Natural Bridge. We had lunch at Natty B's Cafe and visited Cave Mountain Lake where we saw lot's of wildlife.  We loved the fire pit and everything about this cabin.  You have done an amazing job creating the perfect weekend get away spot.  Thank you!

This cozy cabin was perfect for my family of 5 kids! We came to go skiing for the first time at snowshoe and the cabin was a perfect private retreat for family time, games, and a hot tub for aches and pains from skiing! Super clean, cozy and we had everything needed including laundry detergent we forgot! Filtered cold water tower was extra nice for all our yeti refills! We were party of 7 but 10 can sleep comfortably, plus two full baths! Crockpot, two types of coffee makers, toaster, all cooking utensils needed for big breakfasts and convenient supper! The Cabin was really nice; very clean and modern, really liked the space. The AC didn't work very well, so it did get a little hot at times, but there are 2 big ceiling fans that worked well to keep it tolerable, that would be my only real complaint though was just temperature. There was a little snafu with the gate being locked at the entrance/exit of the property when we tried to exit, but they responded quickly to get it resolved. Overall it was a very nice cabin, and we really enjoyed our stay; would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful campground with a nice canoe launch site. We got lucky since we were the only ones at the campground. It was very quiet and beautiful!

Despite renting this cabin in the dead of winter, leading to frozen pipes and being buried in snow, this stay was just what I needed to get away for a little while with my dog. Xavier notified me in advance of the pipes and there being no water, but made it work by providing ample drinking and flushing water. The mini split heater and an electric heater kept the cabin comfortable, but the wood stove cabin probably would have been more ideal in this weather. The family who lives near the property was extremely attentive to my needs and made me feel welcomed and safe. Bonus points for adorable goats, chickens, and cats on the property. I hope to come back in better weather to enjoy the trail and lake.

The cabin was updated to modern standards, but had the charm of its origins. Between the small but adequate kitchen and outdoor grill we cooked all our meals. Enjoyed an outside fire each evening and walked down to the meadow to see all the stars without light pollution. If you want a quiet out of the way place to spend a few peaceful days immersed in nature then this is the place to be. Beautiful mountains, farms, natural wonders and historic Lexington to explore during the day.
