Worth every penny. The perfect spot to getaway where you still are alone in nature! Even though you won’t have cell service, the cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi! Works wonderful. When we first got the booking, Sarah messaged asking what brought us there and left us the cutest anniversary gift when we walked in on the table. Loved that there wasn’t a laundry list of tasks to do when checking out which made it really worth the trip too!! My dog LOVED their hill, and running up and down catching his ball and smelling all the different scents. Still within a hour drive to visit the dunes and National forest. We stayed for an extended weekend and it was perfect! Highly recommend

Paul's place at Beautiful Crystal Lake was everything I hoped for. Not only was the cottage perfect, it was in a great location on the lake. I spent summers at Crystal Lake growing up and this was the perfect place to visit this beautiful place again! Paul was very responsive and helpful when I had a few questions. There was a magnetic on the fridge with info about pontoon boat rentals and I cannot say enough great things about this company! Thank you for a wonderful stay Paul! I would love to come back!

The home was amazing for us and the dogs. The addition of the boat dock out the back yard was very helpful since we didn’t need to launch our boat each day. The firepit and complimentary fire wood was a great additional touch. Would love to stay again!

We loved our stay here! The house was very nice and clean. It was a great visit with fishing, bonfires, kayaking and cornhole! Coffee on the porch with a view of the lake was very enjoyable.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin! Ev was very helpful and even gave us some good recommendations for the area! We were in town for a Ferris State University football game and it was a quick 15 minute trip to campus!

We stayed here for my sisters bachelorette weekend and had such a great time. The place was perfect for us to have space to hangout in the evenings. There were plenty of beds for all of us to sleep comfortably. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the woods, this is a great one! The view off the porch is beautiful and the log cabin feel is great! 5/5 stars from us!

The home was beautiful with a beautiful view. The lake was right across from us definitely coming back in warmer time! The host was great, she accommodated us well was really understand and responded on anything we asked.

The place was a perfect stay for our day of golf at Arcadia. Hosts were great and responded quickly with anything we need. Including checking on things we potentially left behind. They could not have been more spot on referring us to Grille 44 for drinks and dinner, walkable if you’re up for it. 10/10 would stay here again!

Stayed for a wedding in Traverse City. We felt right at home here. Comfortable, clean, beautiful views of the lake. Everything we wanted to do was within quick 10-15 min drive. Target, Walmart, and Sam’s Club very close by for groceries.

It is hard to put in words how wonderful it was to spend time at Elizabeth's place. It was so peaceful and quiet and allowed me to focus on a work project and rest. All the little homelike touches made her place feel like your own home without the feeling that you were intruding on a private home. I would recommend this little place for anyone the is seeking a getaway from the city. And as a bonus, a short drive into TC! Thank you, Elizabeth for being a wonderful host and opening your home up for others to share. I'll definitely be back.

Our family of two adults and two teenagers enjoyed our week-long stay at the Loon Lodge. The property is deep in the woods, on the lakefront, and the boathouse patio offers a million-dollar view of Long Lake. The home is a classic "up-north" cabin with plenty of vintage charm. We spent most of our time enjoying the view from the boathouse and dock. We tied our oversized raft to the mooring and spent a few afternoons floating just off the pier. Our kids hunted for Petoskey and Charlevoix stones right off the dock. We saw Bald Eagles, falcons, and, of course, Loons. Tim was an excellent host who provided a personally curated guide to the area before check-in. When we had an issue with the kitchen faucet, Tim had a plumber on site the same day and was very responsive to my text messages. If you seek a charming vintage lake house with privacy, natural beauty, and outstanding lake views, I highly recommend the Loon Lodge for your next vacation.

great quiet cabin had plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 kids. no wifi or tvs so if your looking to disconnect this is perfect. We will be back in the future.

We so enjoyed our family trip here! It felt like a tree house upstairs looking out to trees and the lake. It was a cozy family room area. We had a great time kayaking in big Sanford lake. It was so peaceful on the weekdays we were there. Sometimes we were the only kayakers. It was close to Traverse City and we checked out Frankfort and Crystal Mountain too. Overall would recommend!

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The property was beautiful and comfortable. There were many things to do on the lake and amenities to use. I had to drag my husband away since he didn't want to leave. Jennifer was an impeccable hostess and not only takes great care of the property but went above and beyond to make our stay carefree. I loved the information given on surround business and personal touches to make us feel welcomed. Thank you. Just a warning the fish in this lake love to tease and are experts at getting a free breakfast from your lines!

My oldest goes to school at CMU and instead of leaving him there alone for Easter we rented this to be able to spend it together. We spent the weekend playing board games and having a fire. It was a perfect spot to enjoy being together. The hosts are amazing! I forgot flour at home so Lynette brought me a couple tbsp. Anytime we had questions Rex answered immediately and brought over whatever it was that was needed- firewood, a lighter. A+ home. Felt comfy and cozy and the record player in the game room made the experience even better. Thank you so much for giving my kids a memorable weekend!

This was our second time staying at Sweet Lake Retreat and once again it did not disappoint! The cabin is perfectly laid out and has views that at times appear to not be real. The snow cover was beautiful! We spent the mornings and evenings soaking up the relaxing heat from the woodstove. There are lots of things to do within short drives during any season. This has become one of our favorite places to visit and we look forward to returning. Thanks Sam!

Overall, it was a very wonderful stay! It was cozy & user friendly. It had all of the amenities that we needed during our stay for our ice fishing trip. Really appreciated that it was dog friendly too!
