This charming cabin in Gwinn was the perfect spot for our fall getaway! The location was super convenient, allowing us to easily explore nearby Marquette while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the lakeside. Waking up to the stunning lake view each morning was a highlight, and the beautiful fall colors surrounding the area made the experience even more magical. The cabin had everything we needed to feel right at home, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the season!

We fell in love with Ruth Lake. The cottage was just right for our family and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy. We will definitely come back (unless we buy our own U.P. cabin first!)

We really enjoyed our stay. Scott’s cabin is an old-school “up north” experience - not fancy but very comfortable and outfitted with everything you could want for a relaxing lake vacation on a fantastic lake. Tons of games, two separate living spaces, comfy master bedroom with a sunrise view over the lake, screened-in porch etc. Scott was very responsive - when we tripped a breaker that shut off the water pump, he was over in 5 minutes to address it. We brought our black lab Harley and he also was totally at home. If you want a fancy luxury lake house, look elsewhere (like Lake Geneva) - but if you want great fishing, great views, a great host, and a homey, relaxing dog-friendly cabin getaway, book here.

Our stay at the cabin on lost lake is great for hunting. It's definitely peaceful. We have used the cabin for 3 hunts so far and have been successful all 3 times.I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking.

My wife and I had a nice relaxing weekend with our dog. Lots to do on location and the surrounding area.

Great host, place was clean, and as described! Would definitely stay again. Apple Maps guides you past the home, but the host was proactive and turned on some blue lights on the eve. Easy to find! Comfortable home.

Stayed for a quick fishing trip around Vilas. The house was perfect for what the 3 of us needed. We will be back!

This place is a dream! We were looking for a quiet place to get away for a few days in December and this was exactly it. It is on a beautiful lake and a little tucked away behind large mature trees. There was a fresh snowfall that made the views extra magical. We enjoyed our time relaxing in the hot tub, watching movies, doing puzzles, and exploring local towns. The cabin was cozy, well stocked, and clean. Nearby we found hiking trails, local shops, restaurants, and supper clubs. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Hoping we can plan another trip here soon!

Stayed in Early December of 2024 to go snowmobiling. Great spot right next the trail. Easy access and plenty of trailer parking. Can't wait to go back.

This home was absolutely stunning! Spacious bedrooms and huge closets. We had our 7mo and 2yo with us and we actually put the pack and play in the closet and it was a perfect dark room for naps! The bathrooms also have plenty of room and our toddler really enjoyed the whirlpool tub! The lake has a beautiful sand bottom and the pool was warm. We also enjoyed the outside hot tub up at the resort & the stars were brilliant - Could see the Big Dipper out the window in the upstairs bedroom from the bed. Overall - very clean, so spacious and quiet. Perfect for a relaxing family getaway! Thank you so much, we are so happy to have found your place for our fall getaway - just wish we could have stayed all week!

My husband and I had a great stay. My only complaint would be that it is not quite as secluded as I expected. There is another residence directly behind the cabin. There's a privacy fence but the windows overlook the hot tub. Other than that, the cabin was clean and homey and the hot tub was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful house and great location. There are neighboring homes but they were not occupied. The property is large and easy access to the lake. Having two living rooms, a reading room and the hot tub room (great hot tub) made for plenty of room. We had 5 adults and two children as well as two dogs. Plenty of room for everyone. I usually don’t book the same house twice as I like to move around but this is one I would definitely.

What an amazing gem! Tucked away, but with plenty of amenities that you would fine at a modern, big-city hotel. Great family space, with privacy, but also big family spaces. A perfect fit for our family team in town for a race. We will be back!

Winter wonderland at the Mustang Lodge! As soon as we arrived for the long holiday weekend, we felt like we were in a hallmark movie with how cozy, clean and beautiful the cabin and surrounding landscape is! We got our dream of snow this weekend and the dogs loved hopping and playing on tons of acres of well manicured paths and my partner and I loved walking alongside on the majestic property - looked magical! Lacy was so sweet to check on us during our stay to make sure the snow didn’t impact our stay. This is truly a hidden gem and we would love to make it back soon!

Excellent location. The cabin feels very private and remote but is only 5 minutes from grocery stores, restaurants and shops. You'll see squirrels and deer visiting throughout the day (there are snacks to feed them provided.) Cabin was warm on cold nights. Gene had great communication during check-in/check-out.

Anyone who loves peace and quiet, a very comfortable home, lots of wildlife to watch from great viewing windows and a wonderful night's sleep, should visit this place. we hope to come back again. Thank you Steve and Missy

Great cabin in the Northwoods! The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything youd need, cozy living room and bedrooms and decorated festively for Christmas! We had a great trip!

I hate to leave a positive review because we want this place all to ourselves. The location is amazing to see anything and everything we wanted and more. Quite area right on the Keweenaw Bay, amazing sunrises every morning along with deer greeting you! The fenced in yard gave us time to relax as we didn't have to worry about our dogs every move.

We had a great time on our 2nd trip to this cabin. Incredibly clean, easy check-in and responsive hosts. Watching the deer in the backyard from the kitchen was great. Peaceful, quiet and private!
