I really enjoyed my short stay at Cottles Bridge. I was welcomed by Sharon as I arrived and was very grateful for the goodies in the fridge. The place was very clean and comfortable and in a peaceful location. Because it was so hot, dry and a bit windy, I didnt do the forest walks I had planned (near King Lake) but did wander around the property. I loved visiting the nearby town of Hurstbridge, which has some lovely cafes and gift shops. I cut the stay short as I felt I should return to the Sunshine Coast because of the looming cyclone. Fortunately our area was spared and I was assured I didnt need to return, so could continue my holiday.

We had a really great stay. The view over the fields and the mountains was beautiful. We sat out on the balcony for ages, had a drink in the evening and there again in the morning with breakfast. The bread, sparkling and other things were really nice touches and meant we could just relax without feeling the need to head out. I’d have helped in the garden if we had stayed for longer!
