House vacation rentals in Lake County

The Little Pink House greatly exceeded our expectations. Suzanna was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. We were in town for a wedding and had an infant with us and the provided amenities made it feel like home. We would absolutely love to stay again if we get the chance.

Kate’s place was exactly what I expected. Pristine condition and spotless. Kate accommodated my early arrival which was greatly appreciated. I would 100% book this place again. Highly recommend her place to anyone in the area for a weekend or just to get away from the city. Thank you again for your attention on such a short notice on my booking.

Nice house with updates. We used all four bedrooms, so everyone had their own space. Kitchen and living room looked nice, but a bit cozy if everyone was in the space at the same time. There was a large breakfast nook/counter in the kitchen instead of a table. More dishes, mugs, etc. in the kitchen would have been nice. The coffee maker and provided K-cups were great! Would definitely stay again if it's available when we are in the area again.

What was so fantastic about this house was the pool heater. We were able to use the pool in a fall month when it gets cold at night because Ammr heated the pool for us. It was a small additional fee but I highly recommend it because we used the pool everyday we were there. Overall the house was clean and we had no issues. Great backyard and garage for kids.

This home was super cozy for my big family. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the way it is set up makes you feel right at home. This home had everything we needed. TV’s, kitchen items, recommendations, and even fun family games and activities to do. Every time I visit the area I’ll be checking to see if it’s available. 10/10

Excellent little house in Whiting. Walking distance to main street with nice restaurants, and a short trip to the waterfront parks.

This place was beautiful! Beds were comfy, rooms were nicely decorated, and bathrooms and kitchen were squeaky clean! Everything matched the listing! The kids loved the arcade games and especially the bean bag in the basement! The carport had comfy furniture to sit and enjoy the cool outside air. The beach was super close to walk too and we were literally the only ones in the back for a good stretch! We got takeout from Flamingos Pizza down the street and the only downfall was kids were not allowed to be there and the staff was kind of rude to them while we waited (only putting this here for future reference of people with kids). We would definitely stay here again!

Miguel's Airbnb was very helpful for our family in a pinch for a place to stay last minute. It was conveniently located and well-equipped for our family of 5 + dog.

Clean and kid friendly! Just as described. Perfect place to hang our Easter vacation with our group of 13!! Everyone felt comfortable and accommodated. Only thing I’d change if I could, more pillows! We’re a pillow loving family. Otherwise everything was great!!

A Lake Michigan beachfront vacation doesn't get any easier than this! An hour or less drive from Chicago, you can check into your own cottage right on the Indiana Dunes National Park and of course the expansive beach! This unique beach house has lovingly grown throughout the years. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and laundry stations for an extended family or group trip, but could also work for a smaller group or couple. We used the bar room and cozied up in the living room enjoying the view! There are multiple patios and a private path to the beach. Parking fits up to 6 cars on-site. Do not expect boring sayings on the walls or basic Ikea dishes. Instead enjoy taking in the 100’s of books on the walls, grandmother’s china now for everyday use, unique art on the walls or ponder upon the strange layout of some of the rooms.

Sharon was very quick in responding to messages. Place was exactly like the pictures. Bedrooms were pretty spacious. Full kitchen with all amenities that was a plus. Would recommend this home. Would definitely come back to this home.

I had booked another location but because of tornadoes knocking out the electricity i had to move the reservation last minute. They did call before i left and kept me updated. I expected the area to be a little more walkable but this was my first time to Gary. The maps directions stop quite a few houses before getting to the actual house. Given that it’s residential it might be nice to have a sign with the name on it so that is easier to spot. I was hoping i wasnt driving into someone’s driveway. Check in easy- code worked right away. There was a fire pit but no wood. Bummer. Would’ve liked to use it. Fence looks like it needs some work but i only really cared because I’ve got a big dog and was concerned but the neighborhood was quiet. Great spot for a couple of friends or s family visiting. The inside of the house is great! Everything you need, towels, soap, shampoo conditioner. They even provided beach towels. Beds were nice and comfy. I felt pretty safe! I would def come back

This is a beautiful home. Looks just like the pictures. It’s in a great area. Right next to fairgrounds and the square. I highly recommend staying here. Sarah was very responsive and helpful.

Our holiday began perfectly, thanks to this wonderful country home! It exceeded our expectations and felt like a dream come true. The house was cozy and ideal for our family of five, offering a charming and authentic countryside experience. As this is a true country home, visitors should expect to encounter some critters and enjoy the rustic charm of older amenities. For us, this only added to the experience, making it even more unique and memorable. We loved exploring the property, where we saw chickens, Bengal cats, and horses. My daughter especially enjoyed the swing, spending every morning and evening out there—it quickly became her favorite spot! This peaceful retreat was exactly what we needed to escape the chaos of city life. Diana, we are so grateful for your hospitality and this amazing experience. We can’t wait to return soon!

This was a great kid friendly place to stay. Michael's dad brings fresh baked muffins. There is access to a water way in the back yard and across the street a beautiful trail to the dunes. Lots of games and things to do in the house.

We love the place, it was a few minutes away from our job site. It's a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Owner is very friendly and always checking up on us if we needed anything and always there if we do. Chicago it's 30-45 mins away which is good it ain't that far to go visit. Very clean ,highly recommended will still here again this coming up year.

This place is cozy. Nice quiet neighborhood. I got the best sleep on the comfy bed. Nice kitchen. This felt like home away from home. I would book again.

It was very well taken care of, and I felt comfortable and cozy, like I was in my own home. It was clean and very close to the Beach, which my kids love. Due to the circumstances of our family being there, it was an all-around great experience for us. It's definitely a recommendation. Thank you for having us.
