Great getaway for a short fishing trip! super quiet place but close to everything you need

The home was one of a kind. The different levels made it feel like we were not on top of each other. Loved the space. Wish it was not cold and rainy so we could have enjoyed the pool but we will be back in the summer.

We came here for a couple nights while on a family trip. Overall, we definitely enjoyed ourselves. If you want to see the lake you have to walk or drive at least a quarter mile which isn’t bad. As far as cleanliness is concerned, the house could stand a good cleaning. It wasn’t very clean but we still had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves. The yard wasnt kept up but someone came and mowed it while we were gone one day. Overall, a really cute little place to stay.

The house is spacious. The back yard and pond make the whole place worth coming to and we plan to stay again soon. My husband caught 10 fish over 2 days and was elated.

We loved Denise’s place! It was exactly as described. It was spacious and clean and was an easy drive from anywhere we needed to go in the area. We especially enjoyed the large Jacuzzi bathtub and several very enjoyable evenings on the back patio with our daughter and her friends around the fire pit! Her local friends were all very impressed with the size and location of the house. Denise was a very responsive host, and even lent me a rod to partake in fishing at the lake, which was about a 2 minute stroll from the house. All in all, The Retreat at Cypress Springs was a great value and a place I would return to when visiting my daughter

The house was very clean and has everything we needed. It has lots of room for parking. It also had a great dock for fishing! It is a little bit of a walk from the house to the dock.

We came here for the seclusion and the fishing! Beautiful place, very secluded and peaceful. The largemouth in these lakes were unbelievable. We will be back.

Other than the occasional car going by, this is one of the most peaceful places you will ever stay. I don't think words could accurately describe how wonderful our Easter weekend was. The house has all of the amenities that you need to stay for a few days or a few weeks. The jam and biscuits were a nice added bonus along with being able to buy farm fresh eggs. We spent early mornings outside just listening to the wild birds, with some chiming in from the rooster and the turkey. We kayaked on the pond and caught so many fish using both fly rods and conventional tackle. When the sun went down we spent time playing games and listening to the sounds of a million frogs. It was truly an amazing long weekend. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

We had a great time at this lake house. It’s a very tranquil setting with incredibly beautiful views of the lake. The house itself is spacious, well-furnished and very comfortable. It even has a karaoke machine that is fun to use. The host keeps the house in fantastic condition. We wanted to play pickleball on the newly constructed court (which is located in a unique tree covered setting!) but the weather didn’t cooperate. However, Winnsboro is a great town that provides accessibility to several great restaurants that we enjoyed. We’d love to come back and highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This property was beautiful! Nikki exuded excellent customer service! She was very responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay! She went above and beyond to ensure all of our concerns were addressed! The icing on the cake was when Nikki was very accommodating with rearranging our stay due to an unexpected change in my surgery date. Thank you for a great stay, Nikki!

I was overwhelmed when I walked in. The pictures do not express the beauty of the Home. We were in “Awe”. The view from the rear deck was amazing. The 500 acres has 3 large ponds(small lakes) stocked with plenty of bass. We caught a total of 58 bass ranging from 10-14 inches. One after another. Watching the grandchildren with so much excitement was such a joy to watch We also took our recreation vehicles and while driving around encountered many deer and other wildlife. The overall experience was more than we could have imagined. Kitty was the best host we have ever had. She was extremely helpful and always a text a way if we needed anything. We are already checking dates to return. It won’t be soon enough. 😊

Nice place. No complaints

The best Airbnb I have stayed in. So many amenities like records and a record player. It is super relaxing listing to the night critters next to a camp fire. I booked this trip to get away from downtown Dallas, it gave me everything I need. They own an antique store in Winnsboro where all guests get a discount. Such great living out here, will 100% be back. THANK YOU!

Had a great stay at this adorable home near Lake Monticello/Bob Sandlin. Easy entry with a keypad. The property was beautifully maintained with lots of room to spread out and relax, the house itself was exactly as pictured. Very peaceful area that is off the beaten path. Host was friendly, and communicative. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing escape near Mt Pleasant. About 20 min to either the interstate or main town area.

Lakeside Retreat was perfect for our stay. We are familiar with the community it is in, so we were aware that it is close knit style, but it was still private and peaceful. A short walk to the lake for the sunset. The back porch was great to sit on and watch the sunrise. We have family close by so we will likely rent again.
