The location of this place really can’t be beat! We could walk around La Fortuna really easily, it was safe, and we could even walk to the Bogarin trail. Everything matched the description pretty well and there were no surprises.

We loved our stay at Casa del Rio!! The house was amazing and our kids really enjoyed the pool at the house. It is located inside a resort. It was so nice to have the privacy and space of the house for our group, but also free breakfast at the resort restaurant and access to the resort spa services (definitely recommend getting a massage!). The staff were very helpful and flexible with all of our requests. The only issue we had was the washing machine not working, but that wasn't a big deal to us.

Very nice house with fantastic garden. You have a chance to see parrots and another birds.All equipment works fine.Housekeeper Rosalija lives in the next house, she is always there to help. Unfortunatelly, the house is just 50 m from main road , and, when trucks are going down the hill, the sound is so strong, that you can not speak to one another when you are outside. Take something to protect you ears in night, the trucks start move before 6AM, and finish after 11PM. Another problem is that the house is far from La Fortuna, it is 20 min to drive. It is self check-in, but the owner had not gave us instructions prior , so we had to write him down again to open the gates.They have strange code lock on the front door, which had closed themselves at 10 PM, when we was outside, so we was forced to broke the door. It appears,that owners knows about this problem, but do nothing to fix it.

We had the blue cottage and it was spacious with a private kitchenette. The bed was nice and everything was clean. I'm glad there was a pool to relax. We missed a table and 2 chairs outside and I indicated that. There was a quick response that they are going to put that in order next week. The communication is fine and fast. Outside there is a large kitchen with everything you need so you can easily cook if you would like. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay here! It's an inside outside house - the bedroom and bathroom are in air conditioned comfort, everything else is outside... The pool is perfect, the grounds are beautiful. We were away for 30 days across Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico City and Casa Pura Vida was the stand out accommodation. We'll book it again when we return to Costa Rica.

My father and I were there for 10 days and it was perfect. Sandra’s breakfasts were delicious and different every day. The pool was lovely after a long hot day. Sandra is an amazing host. 10/10 d’ont hesitate and just book it.

The place was very clean, easy access to the property with private parking. We left very happy and relaxed, the place is very quiet. Alexander was always kind and helpful in answering any questions. We'll definitely be back soon.

From check-in to check-out everything is great. Somewhat remote, but very quiet and private. It is about a 10-minute drive to the next town. Very clean and well decorated place. The highlight was the outdoor hot tub to relax. The bathroom and especially the shower were also a highlight (especially at night). We'd love to come back!

Jarvey’s place was perfect for our group of 5 staying in Monteverde. It was spacious, clean, and we especially loved using the hot tub. The view was incredible. Jarvey was extremely responsive and even gifted our group a cute welcome basket! He helped arrange taxis for our group as well, and made the stay very comfortable for us.

A lovely place, quiet, clean. Had everything you might need. Rented the house for two days. If you’re travelling with a larger group, look no further.

Stefano was very helpful in advance of our stay and very flexible. He welcomed us personally with lots of local info and a full briefing on the accommodation. The accommodation itself was very quiet and private with an Outlook over a lovely garden. it was clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed. Frankly could not have asked for more. Fantastic stay.

Ivannia was a wonderful host. She was so helpful. She gave us great recommendations of places and activities to do. Her restaurant is a unique and personal dining experience. Her food was excellent and the restaurant is located within walking distance.

We stayed at Carlos’ place for two nights and everything about it was perfect. Great location, safe and private, and located near a ton of things. If you’re staying in La Fortuna, definitely stay here. Super comfy bed as well. Carlos was an amazing host. Even left us a little gift when we left.

my family of 5 enjoyed our stay. My inlaws, me, my husband and son all enjoyed the property. It was so relaxing, beautiful and clean and we found it a great base to explore La Fortuna and Arenal area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting this area.

The location was perfect for our Monteverde adventure. Easily accessed everything we wanted to do from zip-line to a night hike to a 6-mile self-guided hike in Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. We also drove to Viento Fresco Waterfalls about 50 minutes away and the swim in waterfall #3 was a family favorite for the trip. Lots to do, very peaceful surroundings at the house and easy to get to good food in Santa Elena! Simple and perfectly comfortable accommodations and the host was wonderful and helpful.
