Cabin vacation rentals in La Fortuna

A beautiful space in a very good location. It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle, but Monterrey is just minutes away. It was a great place from which to explore La Fortuna and the Arenal area.

Great location on a hill with spectacular views to Arenal and across the countryside. At night you even have a good view to San Jose. Nataly has been a great host, always quickly respond when we had a question or needed something. The house is located about 15 minutes outside of La Fortuna in a very tranquility environment. Nice garden which even has some cocoa trees and lots of birds (including a bunch of macaw parrots that came by every day) and a lovely little pool. We certainly enjoyed the relaxing stay at Sloth Hill. Perhaps the only thing to mention is that the kitchen is rather small (as shown on the pictures) so cooking meals can be a bit challenging. But we managed to get along. All in all - definitely a recommendation if you want to stay at Arenal but keep away from the crowds and the noise!

We loved our stay in Chachagua! Irene was incredibly responsive and helpful, and her home and the surroundings were private, serene, and absolutely beautiful! We would recommend this home without reservation.

I loved staying at Casa Juncal and would gladly stay there again if I return to La Fortuna. The place was awesome. It had beautiful gardens and neat flowers and plants. The first morning I was there I saw SO MANY exotic birds I had never seen before. It was far from underwhelming. The place felt sound and safe. It had everything I needed. The price was also great!

Great little spot very quiet and comfortable

It was such a great stay. It was extremely clean, we felt safe and welcomed. We circled around many times feeling like we were lost but ended up being right at the spot. Maybe a sign could’ve helped. But overall, 10/10. Beautiful place!!!

We had a wonderful time. The hot tub was amazing and the place was exactly how I imagined. Ours hosts were extremely responsive. Lots of cool animals and birds round the property. They suggested food for us to be delivered since the place is fairly remote. Would come again. 10/10.

Very nice hosts and a very peaceful stay! Loved the agriculture and views around the place. Far enough from the crowds but close enough to the town of La fortuna. It was perfect!

We loved this little oasis. jacuzzi awesome. A/c worked great! Hot water and shower were great! Clean! Deck lovely. Bed very comfortable. WiFi was very spotty - hard to access internet readily. Reported to owners. They plan to check into it. I’d recommend a car with decent clearance - road is a bit rocky in parts to get to place However - can hear river, jungle noises, and private beautiful location Would HIGHLY recommend. Close to town La Fortuna ( 5-7 min drive into town,).Can walk to some very good restaurants in neighborhood ! Can walk to coffee shop and convenient store if needed. Close to El Salto, too - fun rope swing into river ! Thanks Tati & John !

A place with quiet and safe with the pool and excellent grill areas. A perfect place to enjoy with family or friends. Great attention from the hosts, super recommended

Thank you for a wonderful stay outside of La Fortuna. Accommodations were fabulous. Air worked well, chef was amazing, and space was exactly as described. There is a reason this home has so many y 5 star reviews. Magdalena is always responsive immediately and available for any needs. Highly recommend!

We LOVED this Airbnb. I thought it was even more attractive than the photos online. Felt peaceful, yet the lively town of La Fortuna only a few minutes away. I wish we had more time to spend here and would happily stay again if in the area. Highly recommend!

Very cute cabin with a great view. The pictures were accurate for how the place looks. Hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions. The door has one lock and feels a little unsafe as a solo traveler (being more remote and off the main road) but there were no issues. Just wish for peace of mind there was a bit more security when sleeping at night. Thank you for a great stay!

Ernesto’s place was very close to everything and still very private. It was a beautiful and peaceful place for us to explore Monteverde. We were able to do some bird watching and see a lot of active wildlife just from the front porch! Ernesto picked us up from the bus station and was very communicative and proactive throughout our entire stay. The only thing to mention would be that it can get noisy when it rains and when the wind blows, but that cannot be helped. We loved our stay and would come again!!

The area is beautiful, with lots of flora and fauna, the place matches the photos. clear instructions, Thanks to Rebecca, always attentive and helpful.

This lovely, hand-built cabin is nestled among small fields of fruit and vegetables, flowering trees and lush forest. It was clean, quiet and private. Our peaceful mornings were filled with colorful song birds (lots of hummingbirds). This space is delightfully simple but perfect for exploring the area and getting a taste for Pura Vida! Edgar, the host was responsive, friendly and helpful with recommendations for local restaurants. A whole pineapple and bananas were on the counter upon our arrival and were delicious. Costa Rica is early to bed early to rise, as the birds, frogs and bugs are up singing their morning song. I am not an early riser normally but I was asleep early (sun sets at 6pm) and bounding out of bed for coffee in the hammock out back. Would highly recommend this stay if you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle. It is about 30 minute drive to La Fortuna/Arenal parks.

We had a great stay at Gabriela's place. You feel like you are right in the rainforest. It's a large, cozy space with all the amenities you'd need. Walkable to the cloud forest which is a big plus!
