Vacation rentals in Kumbalwela

We felt super taken care of in Ella. The host was very accommodating and also provided us with his scooter. The accommodation is located directly on the tracks and were able to marvel at the approaching train every day. Unfortunately, we had a bit of sanitation issues. Sometimes we didn't have running water.

One of the best stays I've had in Sri lanka. Very comfortable, great upstairs "cinema", staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Very peaceful and just what the doctor ordered.

The house was in a conveniently located area (walking distance to Ella town) with a great view of the beautiful Ella landscape. It has a playground set for kids, excellent bird-watching, very clean rooms with comfortable beds. There was a cozy common area and a lovely separate dining area. Although the internet was slow, the adapted outlets were plentiful which was helpful for those from out of country. The host was responsive and informative. The caretaker, Keerthi was very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a great stay!

We had a great stay and enjoyed a lovely home cooked evening meal. Chamar very kindly picked us up at the bottom of the hill on arrival and dropped us off again for our taxi, which he had organised on our departure. Kingdom of rustic was perfectly situated a bus ride from Ella which allowed us to enjoy the bustle of Ella and the peace and quiet of the countryside and paddy fields. The sun rise in the morning from the bedroom was spectacular.

Lasithas brother Damit and the rest of the crew were the most kind and helpful people! We found Ella town too busy and noisy for our taste but thanks to the incredible staff we got a memorable experience anyway!

The moksha is truly so beautiful. It’s soooo close to Ella makes it so easy to just rent a scooty and be able to go into the town for some fun, or drive around the gorgeousssss mountains, or retreat back to the moksha for nature and oasis. Food at the moksha is delicious, Bola and his family are so kind. We really enjoyed this resting place.

It was a beautiful place and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The wifi was not working but I guess that's common on in the hills and we ended up not missing it much since the property in one of the best ones in Sri Lanka.

The accommodation is very pleasantly quiet and just outside of bustling Ella, you have a really impressive view of the countryside. The staff were very helpful and prepared a delicious fresh breakfast every day. 100% recommendation!

Dammi was an excellent host and helped us with our requests including food, motorbike rental and tuktuks. We loved our stay in Haputale and hope we can visit again!
