Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kumaon Division

This was one of our best AirBnB experiences! The location is perfect with the lake right in front of the cottage. The house itself is very cosy and tastefully done up. They have a microwave and fridge so you can be fairly independent as well. The area is comfortable for a family or close friends traveling together. Kumkum Ma'am and Hari Sir are absolutely the best hosts. They are very warm and caring and go out of their way to help you. They have the most interesting stories that keep you entertained. We had a personal emergency and Hari Sir ensured we got all the help we could get. He spoke to his family and with his vast local network, we were able to solve the problem very easily. We were so grateful for his help and guidance. The caretaker Nandanji and his family are very helpful and take care of every need. The food he makes is very delicious and you can ask him to make as per your tastes and preferences. We traveled with a toddler and a dog and all of us had a wonderful time. We can safely say that we will be staying with them every time we head for a vacation in that area!

I just returned from an incredible adventure at Da Alohas Homestay, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you. From the moment we arrived, the team at Da Alohas made us feel like cherished guests. The hospitality was top-notch, and it truly set the tone for our stay. The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a serene environment that offers breathtaking views. I must say, enjoying lunch with such an amazing backdrop was a highlight of our trip. The scenery is so picturesque that it feels like you’ve stepped into a postcard! One of the standout aspects of our stay was the food. The chef at Da Alohas is a culinary genius! Each meal was a delight, showcasing a menu that speaks for itself. We savored every bite, from local delicacies to international favorites, all prepared with such care and attention to detail. If you're looking for a getaway that combines relaxation with adventure, I highly recommend visiting Da Alohas at least once.

The property is located at a very beautiful place with all the amenities. It makes you feel comfortable with its scenic beauty and the care taker was very responsive and helpful. Wonderful location with wonderful views of the hills. We were so comfortable at this residence which immediately felt at home. The staff Surajji and Chandan and Chef were so hospitable. The food was right to our taste and they went out of their way to ensure all our needs are met. The interior of this residence left nothing to desire. Really didn’t want to leave this place but instead felt like extending our stay there. I recommend this property anytime.

It has been an absolute pleasure to stay at The Quite Place. The name says it all, and pictures don’t do full justice as it’s much more beautiful than the pictures. We had an amazing and peaceful stay. It never felt that we were away from home. Everyone was extremely helpful. The food was amazing and service was top notch. Will definitely visit the Quite place again. Kudos to Chetan, Ankush and team for being such amazing and gracious hosts.

Beautiful Property with scenic views and the host is very friendly and cater all your needs !!

It was our second time at Sukoon. It is perched high up in the Kumaon hills, about a 20 minute uphill hike from the road, which ensures tranquility and minimal human interaction - exactly what we were looking for. The cottage stands facing a forest which comes alive with the sound of birdsong in the mornings. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck reading, birdwatching, soaking up the Sun and star-gazing. The cottage itself is very well-appointed. The bedding is comfortable and warm, and the kitchen has everything one might need to prepare a small or elaborate meal. Three adorable, friendly dogs who accompanied us on our hikes made the deal even sweeter! Sushil, the host, was welcoming and hospitable. He showed us hiking paths from the property and viewpoints for sweeping views of the snow-capped Kumaon Himalayas in the distance. While he was always just a message away he ensured we had utmost privacy. We had the most wonderful stay at Sukoon and can't wait to be back!

we enjoyed our stay. all the appliances were as described and were of a great help to us. although the approach road to the property from the main highway is a task with sharp inclines, but uska maza bhi kuch aur hai. I enjoyed climbing those inclines twice a day, specially in my morning walks. Every place has its plus and minuses and it depends upon an individual how to find a way to enjoy and have a great time. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

The property is just as it looks in the photos. The biggest plus point is that it is centrally located with everything literally within 5-10 mins walking distance - grocery, stationary, restaurant, mall road, lake, medicine shop everything. It was neat and clean and very well kept. As soon as you enter, you'd feel at home. For us, specially the kitchen was most helpful as we had a young kid and we had prepared her food. I have never stayed in an AirBnB property which had a better equipped kitchen. Next, as a host Suruchi is a superhost. As soon as we had booked the property, she had been with constant touch with us and responded to all of our queries with a lot of patience. She was so kind that she actually allowed us to check in early, even though she already had other guests. She arranged regular caretaker for cleaning, utensils etc. She even arranged a car for us for drop to Delhi from her contacts. We are very thankful and recommend her and her property. 5 stars without a doubt

The hosts' warm hospitality and friendly demeanour made the stay special. I stayed for some months. When there were some construction works going on in the premises, effort was made to minimise the trouble caused to my stay. I gained much insight and information about Almora, and the Kumaon region in general, through conversations with the hosts. Good place to stay in Almora.

The place is great and the view is amazing. The food is good too and pretty reasonable. The path to the place is a bit tricky but otherwise all great.

My stay at La Riviera Waterfront was an absolute delight! This charming homestay is a treasure trove of warmth, comfort, and hospitality, with breathtaking views. The stay was good. The rooms were clean and same as shown in photos, kitchen was good all the necessities were available like tea sugar. The surrounding was nice with mountains and trees in a gated society.The location was good as it was midway between nainital and kainchi dhaam. We visited kainchi dham from here only and reached within 20-30 minutes.

This place is beautiful... Private and peaceful... We got some much needed rest and relaxation... All touristy spots are a short drive away, but the place itself is very quiet and beautiful... The caretakers are very sweet, polite and helpful... Special thanks to Ranjeet who took very good care of us... We traveled with our two dogs, and they had such a wonderful time too... The place is very clean, has all amenities and the food they serve is also very fresh and homely... Overall a 10/10.

Pragya’s home was warm and cozy and had every little thing that one might need for a comfortable stay. The caretaker Hansa Didi was very helpful and great cook . She waited for us to check in even though we were late due to unexpected traffic. Her tips on local travel was very helpful. Will definitely recommend this place for a couple and would hope to stay here during our next visit.

The place is well maintained homelike. The surrounding is very peaceful, with a flowery garden. Host is very polite and helpful. Pet friendly, and good place for pets to chill in secured area. The home served food is very authentic, with a few good cafes nearby if needed. Overall great stay, for my pet Muchos(cat) too.
