Kendall’s place was clean and very comfortable. Its an older home It’s close to the beach and gives you a flavor for how the locals live. She was very responsive to any questions or issues that we had and gave good recommendations. The house is comfortable and is a good budget option for families. The house does get quite warm and stuffy as there is no air. We used ceiling fans and box fans to keep cool and that was sufficient.

The Fern Grotto is THE place to stay on Kauai. We stayed for almost 10 days and had zero issues with our unit. -It was extremely clean. -We were able to stay in and cook if we wanted. -The bed was super comfortable. -The shower was nice and hot. -They had plenty of beach gear to lend for beach days as well. Trust me, we didn’t not want to leave.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tony’s cottage on Kuaui and would happily return on a future visit. Tony’s place was perfect for us: a well-appointed cottage, with a full kitchen, comfortable sitting area, dining table, nice bedroom with ample closets, nice bathroom (with an extra outdoor hot shower), easy-to-use W/D, and long decks on each side of the house. All in a very private setting surrounded by tropical/fruit trees, just a short walk to an unbusy beach on a beautiful cove. The cottage provided beach chairs, large beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. Tony was easy to communicate with at each step of the way and always responded promptly. We really liked the quieter, less-touristed neighborhood on the northeastern side of the island, as our excursions took us in both directions: counterclockwise to the Na Pali coastal trails near Haena or clockwise to the Waimea canyon area. Tony’s cottage was a truly wonderful place to enjoy!

We really loved this place. The property is just stunning. All the plants are so beautiful and we were very comfortable. Lisa included items for us to use that I didn’t even think about which was so nice. Umbrellas, beach chairs & towels, a Bluetooth speaker. A lot of little things that really added up. It’s not very often that we go on vacation and actually want to spend time at our Airbnb or hotel, but this one was an exception.

Had a great stay and loved how quiet and remote Kaala’s farm is. She is also an A+ host, super responsive and so kind! The farm was a nice retreat after exploring the island. Pretty central so equal time to get to north and south sides of the island, and cute towns right down the road in either direction. The juice stand around the corner is a must visit also. Keep in mind it’s on a farm in a rainforest, so don’t be surprised if you come across some animals and critters.

Fantastic little raw slice of life in Kaua’i. Perfect for the people who like to avoid resorts. A few things need upgrades, touch ups, fixing, but overall great! I would think that for the price, the tiny things that need repair would be easy to do, like delaminated floors and cabinets and rotten wood on the porch.

Spectacular Moloa'a Bay on the Beach

We love the location of this property having seen it from the outside on prior visits to Moloaa. The property is rustic and the building is looking pretty rough but given the location basically in the beach this is no surprise and what we expected. The rental unit itself is very charismatic, kind of like if you were shipwrecked in 1940 and built a boat as a treehouse to live in. It’s not for everyone but just delightful if it’s your cup of tea. Overall it’s a cozy and functional space, the only thing that doesn’t work well is a subset of the bedroom windows won’t quite close which in this climate doesn’t matter too much. We appreciated the washer/dryer. The beach here is glorious and you can’t get any closer to it than this. Note the public access is under your bedroom windows so there’s often early morning racket. Also be aware you’ll be charged Hawaii taxes by Mark separately from the Airbnb costs sometime after you book. Overall I highly recommend this property.
