House vacation rentals in Knox County

Just an absolutely gorgeous home and property. We were cursed with some bad weather, which might have really impacted our enjoyment at a lesser locale, but the historic home with all of its fireplaces and the perfect tranquility achieved looking out at the chickens and geese running around the backyard just made the weather woes evaporate. As one of us said sitting out back under the umbrella looking out on the yard "I feel like I'm living in the Calm app." A great escape for us city-dwellers. Tony & Scott were great hosts, making themselves virtually invisible unless requested (more so than necessary, frankly. ) The home was so clean and beautifully appointed. They might be relatively new to hosting but they are already all-stars. We hope to visit again.

The host went above and beyond quick responses to our questions” or “welcome snacks and local recommendations”. The location was perfect while still being peaceful and quiet. This rental was everything we hoped for and more. We’re already looking forward to booking again for our next trip! Highly recommend!

This was a nice and relaxing stay for our family. The house is clean and cozy. The pool exceeded our expectations. Our kids spent so much time splashing around. The owners were always responsive both before and during our stay. Highly recommend for a nice, quiet getaway!

We had the most fun and relaxing weekend here, enjoying the pool and hot tub, taking in the gorgeous surroundings, and sharing meals in the comfortable and homey kitchen and dining areas. Char was a wonderful host! She clearly communicated instructions, provided suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby, and made us feel welcome in her home. I would highly recommend staying here for a gathering with family/friends!

Everything was perfect, no complaints the hot tub was really nice to relax and the staff on the campgrounds were super friendly.

The place was super clean and just what we hoped for and expected. Only complaint and I guess it’s really not a complaint is we felt like there should have been an extra shower in the bathroom up stairs. We loved the convenience of it and so close to everything we like.

This is our second stay. Beautiful, spacious home with plenty of room for our family of six. Ideal location that is close to plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Safe neighborhood and very helpful and responsive hosts.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The house is in a convenient location that also happens to be beautiful, on the Muskingum River, with hills rising to the east and west. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds and couches comfortable, the house immaculate, and the hosts responsive to our requests. No complaints whatsoever.

This beautiful retreat in the countryside felt like a blissful New England getaway in the middle of Ohio. The cottage was quaint and quiet and peaceful. Nan is the perfect host !

We loved staying at this local home in Mount Vernon, located close to shops and town center. The house was very clean and kept us warm during our winter stay. We felt very cozy and surrounded by local charm. We enjoyed the use of the fireplace while watching the snow fall out the many windows. The hosts were very responsive and even checked in on us proactively. We would definitely stay here again when visiting in town family!

My boys stayed at The Burrow for a weekend and it was amazing! John was an exceptional host and the airbnb was very cozy and clean! It met all expectations and we will be staying here next time we are in town! 100% recommend if you are in the area!

We did a trip rather than Christmas gifts this year for my family and this was the perfect quick trip! The house was perfect for our family and provided a quiet getaway. Need to come back in the summer and fall to enjoy the outdoors and all the area has to offer.

Drew’s home is in a beautiful setting and very quiet. It is short walking distance to Kenyon. We loved the natural light, comfortable beds, and well-stocked kitchen. A very easy place to stay if visiting Gambier.

Booking was all that was listed. Very convenient to get back and forth to Kenyon university campus which was main objective of visit.

This is an excellent landing spot for Kenyon families--only 10 minutes from campus! Beautiful views, great space that can comfortably house a good-sized group. Alyese was an exceptional host who was extremely responsive to random questions.

We traveled to Ohio for a family wedding at Magnolia Hill Farm. Kristen's home was the perfect location (4 miles from the venue) for our family of 5. We had adult children coming in from across the country and the property had more than enough space for all of us. It was so nice to have a retreat close by where we could cook meals together and just hang out. Highly recommend and such a better deal than driving to a hotel 30 miles away.
