Asia’s Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto-Shi Airbnb was a beautiful, minimalist design, spa-like retreat. We appreciated its quiet location in Eastern Kyoto, a short walk away from the Kamo River, Gion, Kodaiji Temple, Yasaka Pagoda, and many other beautiful places to explore. We would hope to stay here again on return to Kyoto.

Great location and easy check in process, the host was great in allowing us to store us luggage for a short bit before check in time.

I have stayed in airbnb's across London, Iceland, and Quebec. This was easily the best I've ever been to! And I know that anyone who comes here will be more than satisfied. Lovely place, warm hosts, great location.

The house is really lovely, we stayed for a week with our toddler and omoide went out of her way to provide for us. she even bought a baby gate before our arrival. The cot was big enough for our 20 month old and she had all other baby essentials. The house has a very simple and Japanese style which we loved and it was easy to get around Kyoto from there. The only downsides are if you have lots of luggage there isn't anywhere to store things and there aren't any hooks which can be annoying with wet towels, also the house doesn't get a huge amount of natural light. Omoide has been clever with the lighting in the house so it doesn't feel dark though. Thanks again

The place has complete amenities. The picture was accurate. The design was good. Family enjoyed our 2 nights stay. We will definitely return.

Beautiful place around good restaurants! The space was larger than anticipated and perfect for our needs. Nextdoor is a cute coffee shop which was heavily appreciated:)

Fantastic & authentic Japanese feel. Excellent location, walking distance to everywhere you want to be! Enough for 6 of us (4 kids) & would love to stay again :)

This is such a great Airbnb, it's in a great location, only 1 stop away from Kyoto station, walkable and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The airbnb was very comfy and we appreciated the traditional design with modern amenities. It all felt very Luxe, especially with the private outdoor bathtub. The beds were very comfortable, the pillows and linen were thick and fluffy, bathrooms were clean and modern, and we loved the heated floors. Definitely recommend this place!

- Location, ~15 minutes from the train station, ~15-20 from Gion/Pontocho. 7/11 and grocery store right down the street, quiet neighborhood - 3 showers, 2 Bathrooms, the outdoor area/bath area was a nice touch. The master bathroom was very large. Toiletries were provided. - Rooms were large and separated so even though we had multiple beds in each, there was space Washing machine and hot water took a few minutes to figure out but everything worked just fine.

Very nice place with clean and hot tub including place! Drinks, gifts, and quick communications are great to feel welcome at place.

It was very good that there were many bedrooms.It was beautiful inside and perfect for a large group! It is very close to the station, so it is easy to go by train!Convenience stores and supermarkets are far away, so it's a good idea to go there in advance.

Accomodation was excellent for two couples and a child. Plenty of room, clean & tidy, with a number of eateries once you go exploring. Supermarket and health shop within two minutes. Golden temple within walking distance as well as a number of other temples. Train stations within 10 minutes.

This home is beautiful. It’s been recently renovated and it looked, felt and smelled new. The decoration and furnishings were really lovely. It’s in a quiet residential area about 20 minutes from the main shopping and sightseeing area, 10-15 minute walk to station and 3 stops to Kawaramachi markets. It comfortably fits 7 people in 3 different bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Appliances and tableware were all high end. It doesn’t have closets in the bedrooms, just a couple of hangers, which seems to be common in Japan hotels. Shogo, our host, was very friendly, super communicative and helpful. Also very generous with his hospitality. This place is not in the middle of the busy sightseeing areas, but it’s relatively central and easy to get to places with public transport. There are also some shops and restaurants in walking distance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Very cozy and spacious, and equipped with everything we needed.
