Bringing my kids to a town very close to my heart was made even better by this beautiful home. The pool, 3 bathrooms and amazing surroundings made this the perfect place to spend a summer vacation with our family.

We stayed at the Howl House over Easter weekend as a nice getaway from the busy city. This place was absolutely amazing!! Tranquility does not even begin to describe how peaceful this place is. We spent our evenings and mornings watching the deer eat at the feeder right outside the gate. The neighbors have farm animals and peacocks as well as roosters which I absolutely love to hear when outside, it reminds me of growing up on a farm. The pool was so nice and refreshing as well and gave us plenty to do with the kids. The whole family absolutely loved the place, we will definitely be coming back in the warmer months to really take advantage of the pool! Cant wait to come back.

The house was a great fit for our family of 12 who gathered for a weekend wedding in Hunt. Clean, cozy, and surprisingly spacious with a well equipped kitchen, a beautiful raised deck with ample outdoor seating, and lovely in-tune upright piano that we enjoyed very much. The house is part of a rustic compound of other rental houses in various states of repair. The roads through the compound are mostly narrow, winding, gravel, and unlit, but nonetheless navigable and befitting of the beautiful rural surroundings. Deer, foxes, water fowel, and other local fauna roam freely about this peaceful space. The kids enjoyed a short trek down to the pond.

very clean and beautiful guesthouse. The pool was beautiful and well maintained, we were never disturbed except by their 3 beautiful and well behaved dogs.The area was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to visit again.

We wanted to provide our kids with a quintessential Hill Country experience for Spring Break and Falling Rock delivered! The house was perfect for our family of 5 (kids ranging in age from 4-9) and the dog; it was very spacious, and we loved that the master wing was on the opposite side from the kids bedrooms. The property was amazing - plenty of space for the kids to run around, the creek was crystal clear and the perfect depth (only up to chest level for adults), and the two entry areas were perfect to setup the fishing gear that we purchased at the Hunt store and wait for the perch to bite. Having a golf cart to transport everyone and everything up & down the hill from the house was a lifesaver. The kitchen was wonderful - it had everything we needed to feel right at home and the office in the master wing allowed me to stay current at work. Jake & his family were very welcoming and responsive to any questions. No one wanted to leave & we will 100% be booking this again!

Everyone in our group loved the house/property!! Beautiful older home with that nostalgic feeling of stepping back in time to your grandparents house. Very clean with plenty of towels and extra linens. Motorcycle friendly with plenty of parking. Gorgeous view of the hills across the field in front of the house. Friendly neighbors that are near property. Host was quick to respond and gave detailed info for property which is great. Easy check in as well.

We felt so privileged to stay in this historic, beautifully restored family homestead. Ours was a special trip with my parents and children, so the setting felt especially complementary. ☺️ The house was pristine, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. We especially loved the hill country views from the living room and easy proximity to Kerrville for essentials. (We highly recommend Rails for dinner.) One slight disappointment: Parking for the longterm rental (which is described in the listing) obscures the view from the patio and downgrades the overall sense of privacy.

We stayed here with several family members for a wedding at Sendera Springs. The home was beautiful, in fact I would say it was nicer than the pictures. The host was great about check in and communicating with us throughout the stay (one night we had a surprising and strong storm). If I ever had a need to stay in the area again I would definitely stay here. All of the family was impressed with the lodging!

If anyone is looking for a place in this part of Texas I’m telling you it is fabulous. Talk about clean and making it feel as cozy as your own home. I would highly recommend staying here. And talk about peaceful WOW!!! Maria our host was spot on always responsive and everything she explained was spot on. We so enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be visiting here again. We have stayed at many rentals and honestly this one was one of the best. The house was clean, spacious for all of us and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and open to the living room. The beds were perfect for us and felt good after a long day! The private back yard was nice for the two little ones to roam around in while we grandparents and parents sat and enjoyed a glass of wine. All in all, we had a relaxing time visiting our family and enjoying Kerrville. (A cute spot for gelato and treats is POOKIES which is downtown.)

Great place! Clean, nice, and comfortable. Had everything you need, plus plenty of towels and extra blankets. Fridge has ice machine, good coffee pot, and great instructions.

Absolutely amazing place! We had a guys trip away with our Motorcyle Ministry and this house was PERFECT for us. Plenty of space to relax, the pool table and cornhole options were tons of fun for us, right next to HEB was incredibly convenient. I could not recommend this place enough. We go on this trip annually and will be looking to rent this home annually.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The host , Sharon was very responsive, gave us accurate and timely information and tips, and was kind with us. The home itself was very clean, modern, and with its beautiful location on a hilltop, provided us with the relaxation and peaceful atmosphere we were looking for. 10/10!

Five of us visited for a nice peaceful gettaway to celebrate my wife's 40th Birthday. we absolutely loved everything about this place. The house was big, clean, had plenty of seating areas, and each bedroom had their own bathroom. Outside was also great. We were able to enjoy the nice views for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The house was also a short drive to Main Street and a local HEB. When visiting, we would definitely stay at this house again.

Fantastic getaway. It is exactly as pictured plus more. I cannot express the details of decor. In addition, well equipped. We did not need anything. Highly recommend. If you are looking for unique, peaceful, quiet this is the place. Manuel gets a 10 STAR. Thank you for hosting us. Definitely will be back.

What an amazing place. We had a great time. We had a big group of motorcycles and they allowed us to use the garage as well. The house is beautiful with a beautiful view overlooking Kerrville. Highly recommend

Wonderful home to stay in. Very clean and comfortable, exactly as described in the listing. Extremely quiet neighborhood. Close enough to kerrville to be convenient, far enough out of town to be very peaceful. I recommend this home to anyone visiting the Kerrville area.

The house is stunning, and the location is ideal for a tranquil and relaxing getaway. We truly enjoyed our stay. This marks our third visit. The house is immaculate, which is something I particularly appreciate.

We had a great time at this Hillcountry Hideaway. Celebrated my 50th with family and a few close friends- the plan was to ride motorcycles all weekend. The location is perfect for riding the Texas Hillcountry- some of the best riding in central Texas is right down the road. My group had a lot of fun figuring out how to ride through the Sabinal river and get up the steep gravel road to the house. It’s the perfect moto-adventure basecamp house!!! My group loved it and want to get back soon!

Kristen was a wonderful host! This is a wonderful quiet getaway, and the hot tub under the stars was perfect! Large king bed and pullout sleeper in the same bedroom are perfect for either a couple's getaway or a group of friends or siblings fine being cozy :) Would I stay again? Absolutely!!
