What a lovely cottage-y home base for those wanting a safe, private, beautiful, off-the-beaten-on-the-authentic-North-Shore-path vibe. The beach and view of the Pacific Ocean are world-class. 10-minute, beautiful, quiet drive to the charming beaches, shopping, and dining centers dotting the oceanfront highway heading east. Lots of active things to do in the area. Decor and kitchen are high-end. Hosts quick to respond and hospitable. North Shore waters are mostly not for families with small children who want to swim and snorkel, and this spot is no different. Our only wish: upgrade the mattresses. It’s like Goldilocks, but with only two we never got to the “just right” part. ☺️ Whomever snags this reservation, think you’ll be blown away!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The inside of the condo was beautiful, SO clean, and stocked with everything you could need from kitchen appliances to sunscreen to towels and other beach gear. The view from the balcony/lanai was absolutely gorgeous. Overlooking a beach which was pretty private. Watched whales and sea turtles. The only downside of the air bnb was that the location is not in the nicest part of town, however, the building is in a gated area. We never felt unsafe. Although it is a ways from any nice restaurants, this did not bother us one bit because we ate almost every meal on the lanai as it the views were more gorgeous than any restaurant could offer! We would recommend this stay to anyone who is wanting a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful stay!

We couldn't have been happier with our oceanfront cottage for our vacation. Most of our family stayed at a resort in Waikiki and that vibe was way too intense and crowded for us. So happy we found this great location and deal! The construction noise was manageable and was explicitly disclosed. But most of the time it was so quiet and peaceful. The cottage worked out great for our family of 4-- while we originally booked a condo up on the 4th floor being on the ground level ended up being ideal for us with the lanai and easy access to outside. The vibe of the area was so chill and friendly and local island culture. And proximity to north shore was great too. We got good tips from not only the hosts but the security staff onsite. The Kiwi bakery and the Huuala loop trail were favorite stops we discovered on our own. My son and I even were able to catch the first heat of the Eddie!

Absolutely beautiful place with incredible sunsets! Very clean and feels like home away from home! I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The location is away from crowds, extremely peaceful and relaxing. The bed and lanai were very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Location, location, location! The inside of the condo is as it appears on the website. Comfortable. Nicely appointed kitchen. We didn’t cook while there, but it was well equipped. We loved having coffee in the morning on the screened in lanai, listening to the birds, waves and watching the chickens. A very short walk out the front door and you are on a great beach for swimming, snorkeling, walking. Emmanuel, the host, has all sorts of equipment stored on the lanai…boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkels , flippers. The pool was very cool, I don’t think it’s heated, but we did use it for laps. This is a great beach condo….simple, comfortable, great location. If you want upscale the Ritz Carlton is up the road. Emmanuel, the host, is responsive, accessible. We had a good experience at Punaluu and really hope to return soon .

We loved our stay, exactly what we were looking for…. A beautiful sandy beach right outside of our door, without the crowds of tourist beaches. Turtles catching waves with us, along with dolphin and whale sightings from our lanai. If you do your research and understand that you are staying at an older place without all the fancy stuff, this place is exactly as described. This is old Hawaii, locals Hawaii.. the drive to the condo is sad with so many locals forced to live on the beach as Hawaii’s cost of living has become too much, along with the dire consequences of substance use.. understand you will see that. If that’s not for you to see, this isn’t the place. The condo was CLEAN and very comfortable, with everything you could need. Time your adventures right and arrive “home” in the evening then you won’t have a problem with traffic!

Julie’s place is in a great location, is within walking distance to the beach and was very comfortable. Parking was limited if you arrived back to the apartment later in the evening.

Great place! The place has everything we needed and there are supermarkets nearby if you need extra things. Beach is literally an elevator away and not crowded at all which is perfect! The area is further from the popular tourist sites so you definitely need a car. There is a gate to this community so we felt safe while staying here. It's nice to see the sunset just right out of windows everyday while eating dinner.

This place was perfect for our quick stay for a funeral that was at the bay 4 minutes away. The house was well equipped, comfortable and clean. The back porch was a great place to relax after a long day at the beach. The AC was a refreshing change after a hot day. Oh and the beds were super comfortable. We would highly recommend.

Excellent visit. Super clean / super nice / super well appointed condo. Was our second stay at Turtle Bay and this condo was top shelf. Perfect base camp for a family of 5 (teenagers) with a monster fridge / freezer and all of the kitchen items / beach supplies that we could ever need. As a frequent Airbnber, the mark of the best places are little things like boxes of good (real) Kleenex in all of the rooms, nice / thick towels, and all of the supplies for laundry, etc. and this condo had it all. True pros.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay. Everything was exactly as described. Joel was very responsive and gave great recommendations. We loved the nearby beach at Kawela Bay! A definite must go to- beautiful and very quiet. We appreciated the chairs, beach towels and snorkel gear. Very comfortable beds and comfortable house altogether. Would definitely recommend- a great location in North Shore.

This place was amazing! Newly remodeled, clean, comfortable, everything we were looking for and more. The host is amazing, made us feel at home and made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable! We will definitely be booking with this host again, such a great experience highly recommended!

Wonderful place! We couldn't have been happier with the location. The day we got there, there were turtles on the beach. The view and private beach was fantastic with our kids. They provided a wagon which was great for us going to the PCC. They didn't have a pack n play however we told them it was advertised and they brought one right away. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were very good at communicating and made it very easy to get a late checkout worked out with them. The place is in a great area with nice pools nearby. The place is a little small but was described that way. I’d recommend staying here. The only negative was the WiFi stopped working after the first night so we weren’t really able to use the TV the last couple night. It was a little frustrating but everything else was wonderful.

First time visiting the Island with our family from the UK. We had originally planned to stop on Waikīkī but after son-In law had a look around He found this Gem of a place. Which was perfect for him as an avid surfer to see the world famous beaches! We were so glad that we changed our plans and stopped on the North Shore instead! Amazing beaches. Great local food/Food Trucks. The apartment itself is great and a nice private complex! Hosts wonderful from start to Finish! A long trip from the UK but 100% worth it to experience the history/cultures and everything the Island has to offer! Will be booking to come back next year once we get home to the UK that's for sure!

Jimmy's place was absolutely beautiful!! It was immaculate, and beautifully decorated. We slept so well, and loved hanging out there. Everything about his place is exquisite! The surrounding mountains were gorgeous, and the gated community made us feel so secure. we had the most wonderful experience in Waianae! Thank you, Jimmy for hosting the best airbnb we've ever stayed in!!!
